Everything!! Could not recommend the lookout enough. Views are spectacular. Location is perfect, a short drive from Ardara and centered in Donegal. Hosts are SO kind, making splendid breakfast, giving advice on area and putting everyone at ease. The property has all the details, the heating blankets, little shoe cupboard, amenities, snacks, beers…., will be recommending this place for life!!!! Huge 10/10. Run there!!!

The breakfast was excellent and the home was very clean. Check-in was easy enough and we enjoyed our time and conversation with the hosts. Would not hesitate to stay again in the future.

Lovely town with good selection of tweed and local craft shops.I came to see the tweed centre and the tweed looms.Very walkable town and lovely food available.I used the local bus to get to Donegal town which was easy.I ate at Nancys a local pub in Ardara and had a wonderful meal the chocolate and Guinness cake was amazing!
I came by bus from Letterkenny on a Sunday which is not a day I would travel by bus again as some buses do not go on a Sunday.Otherwise it was very easy and cheap to go around by bus and got to see great scenery and chat to local people all who were very helpful.

Stunning town with lots to do and see.
Stunning town with lots to do and see. We were very lucky with exceptional weather when we visiting but its such a beautiful place its worth the visit regardless. The only downside was the only supermarket in town was very expensive.

Molloys Woolen Outlet is fantastic for price, quality, selection and friendliness !
Courthouse is awesome and inexpensive for breakfast, lunch, and treats.
Michaelina's or Nancy's for evening meals (should reserve at busy times for either.
Design Center (opposite the river walk) and Eddie Doherty's for superb unique gifts and hand-loomed tweed items
Check out the waterfall just out of town

So underrated, I would wholly recommend Ardara to anyone looking for friendly, kind locals in Donegal. It’s a quiet town in the middle of the west coast, perfect as a base for exploring Co. Donegal. Nancy’s Pub is great in the evenings; Sliabgh Liag Distillery is a must-visit and Eddie Doherty is a local celebrity with his weaving skills! Reasonably priced Donegal tweed products - much more affordable than the other shop in town. The Courthouse (in the Heritage Center) also does delicious breakfasts and baked goods. The only thing I’d be wary of is walking along the road - the drivers speed regardless of the time of day.

The staff were pleasant, chatty and really helpful.
The location was excellent, our bedroom was beautifully decorated, and really comfy. Lovely attention to detail, though the bathroom was older, it was a great space and all areas were kept very clean.
We ate in the dining room, again staff were friendly and helpful. The food was beautifully done I had the tempura prawns and fish and chips- batter and fish cooked to perfection.
Really it is a very busy hotel, but you are made to feel so welcome - a credit to Ardara.
We loved the authenticity of the setting and the fact that the owners were endlessly patient with us during the stay. The kitchen was very well equipped and the beds were super comfortable. The barn is very close to all Ardara has to offer. Pat at the Beehive Pub was a very welcome host. It didn’t take long to meander back to the barn after our evening jaunts.
Great location. Few minutes drive from Ardara town, as we were there for Cup an tae festival in the town. House was perfect for us, 2 adults 2 kids. Nice little touches in kids room such as toys/games.
Lovely home cooked breakfast of porridge and fresh fruit. Full Irish option too. Plenty of tea/coffee toast/ brown bread etc. Ardara is a lovely small town
