Located in the coastal town of Bantry, Aran Lodge offers free WiFi access and free parking. Just 2.5 mi from Bantry Bay Golf Club, Glengarriff Nature Reserve is also a short 13-minute journey by car.

All of it!! Deirdre and Joe were so hospitable, they went way above and beyond. The room looked over the sea and garden which was spectacular! The breakfast was amazing and Deirdre is so accommodating! She will do whatever she can to support your journey. This place feels like home- I will come again and again! Also, the bus is just across the street so you can come and go without a car! And, there’s an amazing coffee shop down the way, and beautiful walks…I could go on and on! Thank you Deirdre and Joe.

Very comfortable! We appreciated having a refrigerator and microwave so we could save a bit on dining, especially later in the day in the off-season when restaurant choices are limited. Easy access and excellent communication with the host.

We stayed at La Mirage to take part in cycling event Tour of Beara. Siobhan our host got up so early to get us breakfast before the cycle. Nothing was a problem.

Bantry has changed over the years not completely for the better. A number of the smaller shops have gone. I miss Hickies, the music shop above all the others. We ate at The Brick Oven. It used to be good but has gone downhill. My wife was ill after our visit. We shall not go there again

Bantry is an interesting and sweet little gem.

Bantry is an interesting and sweet little gem. I discovered a walk around the town that starts with walking on a path right on the water, goes up a steep road that at top gives a terrifically beautiful view back down the hill of the water and other locales of Bantry area. It made me stop and take in the beauty. We took some salad bar items back to Barry's B+B for a meal or 2. Great variety, tasty breakfast items, at Barry's. Stayed away from the best fish restaurant this time. It is nice to improvise sometimes and save a few bucks, too. The market, fair day (Fridays) has burritos, falafels (Israeli couple) to die for. Look around.

Bantry was just closing from the tourist season and there were plenty of tourists about. We arrived on a Friday and the local market was in full swing in the town square with an array of food stalls and organic Veg and clothing stalls and more, Food and beverage was affordable and tasty. Great views of Bantry Bay and goo transport to Cork City

    Mizen head was marvellous!

Mizen head was marvellous! Bantry itself is beautiful but not much action there. But the whole environment around Bantry is splendid. Many possibilities and gems to visit! We will come back. Definitely.

Downtown Bantry has many places of interest and is typical of an Irish village. Every Friday there is a market on the main square. It has all the amenities a person needs. A number of good pubs and restaurants. The food at the Brick Oven is really good. Very friendly people. The Connection has all the high-tech equipment a traveler might need.
