Providing garden views, Lake Avenue House in Ballyconnell features accommodations, a garden, and a shared lounge.

The location is nice and quiet, and the surrounding scenery is breathtaking! The host was very nice and helpful when we were looking for a place to eat and do laundry. There was a cute little church next door that was nice to walk through too.

Featuring a garden, Forest Lodge Log Cabin - Ireland offers accommodations in Ballyconnell. This property offers access to a balcony and free private parking.

The cabin is really beautiful. The decor inside is lovely and there is really good space for 6 people. The appliances worked well and there were good extras, supply of DVDs and some books which our kids enjoyed. The jacuzzi bath was popular with our kids. The views from the balcony and veranda were lovely and the little extra electric lights and candles were very atmospheric. The gas stove was a nice touch. The owner was very responsive to any questions I asked.

In 1,300 acres of country estate, the luxurious Farnham Estate Spa and Golf Resort has a spa with an outdoor infinity pool, forest walkways and an 18-hole golf course. Cavan Town is 1.9 mi away.

The surrounding countryside together with the luxurious facilities onsite, it was a wonderful stay. The ambience of the spa, the variety of saunas were the best I've ever been to in Europe.

The Hotel had great facilities and walks around the golf course in the grounds so we did not venture out much. We drove through Ballyconnell on our Way up to Marble Arch Caves which was a 35 Minute drive from the Hotel and is well worth a visit.

Ballyconnell is very small but it's in a naturally beautiful and historical area. There are lovely loop walks around the town and along the river. Do some research beforehand and plan a few stops on route to explore the area (i.e. the Cavan Way, Cavan Burren Park, the various caves and forest parks and lakes nearby). There are some hidden gems and it's well worth it. For most of these, you will need a car though. It's ideal for people who just want to switch off for a few days.

Location staff amenities bedrooms are all great.

Location staff amenities bedrooms are all great. There was entertainment on both nights. Very friendly homely feel to the Hotel. Quality of food especially vegetables on the night we ate there did not meet expectations for the price we paid in the Conal Cearnach Restaurant.

As my stay was short and my attendance at the wedding didnt give me much tim to avail of all of the facilities and amenities but I enjoyed a walk in the grounds which I found to be very pleasent. I enjoyed drinking in the lounge bar and I found it very relaxing.

Lovely local town, with kids planning ahead would be necessary to entertain them. Not far from Cavan town, Enniskillen also. Lots of local lakes and Slieve Russell hotel very close. Lough Key Forrest Park is about 40 mins away in Leitrim and great for a day out.

Slieve Russell is located about 3 miles outside Ballyconnell...

Slieve Russell is located about 3 miles outside Ballyconnell, Ballyconnell is a small town with a small number of shops, pubs/ restaurants, and a church and school. It also has a lovely river walk. The grounds attached to Slieve Russell hotel are quite extensive. There is a 3km (approx ) beautiful walk around the lake which borders their championship golf course. There is also a smaller golf course within the grounds, as well as at least two tennis courts. The pool is great for families. My wife enjoyed a fab 'facial' in their CIUIN spa. We stayed two nights, and never left the hotel environs, as we had everything we needed on site. There are also lots of places of interest to visit locally or within 30 minutes by car.

This B&B was really lovely and Catherine is a wonderful hostess who made us all really welcome. When we were unable to get a taxi at a busy time of day, her husband very kindly gave us a lift to a local hotel. The house is in a beautiful and quiet location with a lake view from some of the bedrooms. The beds were really comfortable and the breakfast was superb not to mention the home baked bread which was served along with the toast. I would higgly recommend the B&B.

The cottage is along a very nice, but narrow, country road and only a couple of miles from the Slieve Russell Hotel. We were at a family wedding there and stayed in Wisteria Cottage as a party of 5 ( my wife, her 2 brothers and her mother.) The cottage is really at the backdoor of the owners' home and the keys to the property were left in the door. The cottage is very handy for anyone at a wedding in the Slieve Russell, but you still need to drive there.

Absolutely lovely cabin and maintained to a really high standard. The host was really helpful with any questions or queries. Really good spot if you want to get away. Close to Ballyconnell town, which has plenty of amenities, ranging from supermarkets, pubs, and food options. Also a taxi service if required.
