Historical walk along the front with gorgeous scenery and plenty of information boards or plaques along the way with great information, friendly locals and nice pubs to chill out in, Quite a few seem to have live music on at the weekend if you like that? If you don’t then they were not as bad through the week

Travelled to Buncrana mainly because we are Parkrun tourists and needed a Parkrun beginning with a "B" for our Alphabet challenge. Got so much more than this from the trip - friendly people, not just at Parkrun, not just in shops and restaurants, but everywhere you went. Beaches are lovely and costal paths very well maintained and a pleasure to run or walk along. Easy town to get around with plenty shops, bars and restaurants and a great base from where you can travel in the surrounding areas easily by car.

The hotel is a bit out of the town centre, but perfectly fine for car drivers - once you get used to the multi level one way system! Buncrana is well placed for touring North Donegal County and visiting Derry/Londonderry City nearby in N. Ireland, to where there are no travel or border restrictions. Thought the local ferries were a bit expensive for cars. The local attraction "Wild Ireland" situated near Burnfoot was well worth a visit. And a visit to Ireland's most northerly point, Malin Head, is a "must do" too. Be advised that the famous Slieve League Cliffs are over 100km from Buncrana.

Family break: 2 adults & 2 children. Loads to do, loads of activities and loads to see. The kids preferred Donegal to our week in Spain earlier this yr. The area is beautiful with lovely beaches nearby and loads of things to visit. We will definitely be back soon.

The house was ideal for a large family group.
The house was ideal for a large family group. There were plenty of baths and showers in the house. The house has a great view. Apart form a few very minor things we were very satisfied.
There is beautiful countryside, excellent beaches, and places of historical interest within easy reach of Buncrana.

Very friendly host couple. They got us an extra blanket, because we are not used to share one and sleeping in a double bed. And we had the option to help ourselves to tea or coffee in the morning even without any booked breakfast. 4 lovable cats as a bonus. Perfect basis to explore Inishowen. Not far from Buncrana itself.
It‘s a small house and you are practically staying in their living space, but Tara and Catalina very much respect your privacy.
Good infos about food and the peninsula.
Very good price!
Really modern but cosy house only minutes drive from Buncrana and also walking distance to few local shops, beach, river walk. Fabulous welcome package of food and drinks as well as tea bags and milk 😊
The hosts are extremely welcoming and professional.
One of the best houses we've stayed in!
Beautiful cottage with a beautiful view. Lovely and peaceful, livestock right in-front of you. Just what we wanted for a lovely quiet few days away with the family. The most Comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Highly recommend.
The hotel is perfectly located for exploring the Donegal region. We had a spacious nice room, very clean and good breakfast. The beach is just across the street and perfect for evening and morning walks.
