In picturesque Carlingford, The Four Seasons Hotel overlooks the Cooley Peninsula, with beautiful views of Cooley Mountains and Carlingford Lough. The hotel is a 1-hour drive from Dublin and Belfast.

The location for walking round Carlingford is superb. The staff were all more than helpful. It was a beautiful sunny day, and people drinking outside in the gardens, which had the most spectacular views. There were also ducks roaming freely, all idyllic.

Offering a garden and garden view, Wildwood Lodge is situated in Carlingford, 23 km from Proleek Dolmen and 24 km from Louth County Museum.

We were SO happy here! The location is stunning, the rooms are really spacious and clean and beautifully decorated. I couldn't recommend it more - easy to get to, 5 min walk to the water/shops and the views from the property were unreal. The lovely woman who cleaned our room was also so friendly and gave us lots of interesting information about the area.

Offering a garden and sea view, Fairy Fort at Rosemount Glamping is situated in Carlingford, 20 km from Louth County Museum and 50 km from Monasterboice.

My girlfriend and I had the most amazing stay at Rosemount . Óisín and Natasha greeted us upon arrival and explained everything we needed to know for staying there. They were so lovely and made sure we were well taken care of . The tent itself was so beautiful and the attention to detail was amazing. The tent became warm and cosy quick with the fire inside which I felt very safe with. I can’t fault a single thing it was a beautiful stay and we will definitely be back . Thank you to Óisín and Natasha :)

Carlingford is a charming medieval village directly across a bay from Northern Ireland. It's just over an hour from both Dublin and Belfast and makes a nice stop on the way to or from both cities. Also Taaffe's Castle Pub is one of the two or three best pubs I have been to in the world!

The views were stunning, the food ( especially the fish was delicious) and the musical entertainment on a Tuesday night was great. Better still we could walk to the bed and breakfast in five plus minutes

Carlingford was a busy village on the Sunday afternoon! We stopped in at a few of the pubs and enjoyed the sing songs. Very lively area. Would definitely go back there. Many shops if you are a shopper!

Such a quaint little town perched on the waters edge.

Such a quaint little town perched on the waters edge. Lots of lovely restaurants serving lovely fresh seafood. And some quirky little shops. We ate lunch at PJ’s known for its oysters. And at the kingfisher bistro in the evening. Both served delicious food.

    Lovely apartment on the Lough.

Lovely apartment on the Lough. The hosts make full use of the space allowing a party of five to stay in comfort. We were there on a Monday and Tuesday night and several of the restaurants were closed which is such a pity which resulted in us having to get take out. The property is right at the entrance to the Greenway and the bike hire company there were great, reasonably priced and very pleasant
