Beautiful property. The bed is simply amazing - so comfortable with great pillows. The outside is lovely with the hot tub available. The shower is a great size. And such thoughtful amenities - down to salt, pepper, milk for your tea, and a bottle of Prosecco!

The house looks beautiful from outside and with some pieces of valuable furniture. Nice setting in the country side but close to a cow farm (smell and dirt on the road).

We were given breakfast every morning. In my case I got a full Irish breakfast. Breakfast was delicious! The owners are extremely helpful and friendly. They made our stay excellent, and would certainly stay here again.

Kilmactrasna Cottage enjoys a location in Carrickmacross, 16 miles from Proleek Dolmen and 16 miles from Maudabawn Cultural Centre.

my girlfriend and I spent two nights here last week. We were on a low budget exploration of Ireland. It was easy to reach by bus 980 from Dublin. From the main bus stop in the twon you walk only 12 minutes. So we could enjoy our drinks in town and later walked "home". The taxi was quite cheap but we opted to walk into town. The place is clean and you get breakfast. Pascall, the gentleman who served us is a cool mature man who is particular about healthy foods. For instance, he has low fat and low sugar food for breakfast. We quite enjoyed the home made scones, the calm environment and peaceful home-like hospitality and facilities. This is a to go place when in Carrickmacross and nearby towns like Ardee, Dundalk, etc. We are planning to make is our regular weekend or holiday place.

Ashling and her husband Gerald where super host's. I mistaking thought they provided a full cooked Irish breakfast which they don't. But Gerald provided us with a cooked breakfast on our 2nd morning and asked us if we wanted him to do it for the rest of our stay we declined. They provide ample breakfast stuff you could not be hungry leaving the table.. We would recommend this b n b to anyone looking to stay in Castleblayney. We would definitely stay again.
