The grounds of the hotel is so peaceful. We had lovely dinner and breakfast. Very friendly staff. The room was very comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay.
Ideally located on the outskirts of Cavan, the Cavan Crystal Hotel is less than 5 minutes' drive from the town centre.

Hotel clean. We had a twin room. My single bed - just as I like it, firm and pillows ok. My friends double bed seemed to slope down to the head board and he found the pillows quite hard. 🤷♀️
Our first breakfast was excellent - yogurt and fruit followed by a full irish fry - fry came out hot and not greasy in the slightest - delicious 😋. The second morning - after being woken at some ungodly hour by a neighbouring business fire/security alarm that went on for what seemed for ever! - was disappointing- no yogurt and none coming!!! Had the pancakes instead of fry which were ok. Spent some time in swimming pool/spa. Good size pool. Jacuzzi was a little on the cool side for me. Steam room and sauna were fine. Didn’t use the gym but it seemed to have a good variety of equipment..
Staff were very pleasant and more than happy to help when asked.
We dined out in Cavan in the evening. The menu in the hotel I’m sure would have been tasty but we fancied something ‘different’ from the standard hotel dinners and were not disappointed.

Kept awake in room 8 to early hours in the morning because of doors banging and noice from the yard etc. Hallway and carpet very dirty and smelly.

Very friendly people.
The Cavan County Museum was fascinating, moving, imaginative, comprehensive. One of the best I've seen.
Quite difficult to see the lakes with all the lush foliage. Beautiful when sighted.

Loved visiting the home county of my ancestors.
Loved visiting the home county of my ancestors. Hoped to find family connections, but I will need to come back to research more. The tourist info office was very helpful as was Harold Johnston in Black Lion😊. Although we didn’t explore the hiking and lakes, that will be on my next journey. Cavan is a treasure!

The Cavan County Museum was very interesting place to visit, beautiful gardens well planned out and Fantastic exhibits, ie The Battle of the Somme, trenches , Replica of the GPO and the exhibits. The whole history of the country, and its significance in the landscape of Cavan and its people.
I would highly recommend it. I’ll bring the grandchildren the next time.

We really, liked Michael who helped us with our luggage and was very pleasant and friendly. - Very impressed with Farnham for employing people with special needs. We liked the spa, the pool, and the location of the hotel.
We were disappointed at little added extras not being there since our last visit and that the 2 restaurants did not deliver uniquely different dining experiences. We noticed the walkways were in the process of much-needed renovations.
We enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

First class in every respect.
First class in every respect. The rooms, breakfast and facilities were excellent. Most of all the host gave a great welcome and tea in the living room. The converted Mill is a beautiful environment. As a descendant of Glangevlin's McGovern family the stay was full of the best in Cavan hospitality.

The stunning location of the cottage. In Ireland you can best find your way with Google addresses, so finding that was not a specimen at all. The fireplace was prepared, we felt right at home straight away. We felt at home from the minute we arrived and were so sad to leave. Aishling the host is amazing. Lovely peaceful area that is so close to a little town called Ballinagh and it's a short distance to Cavan town.
💚 we are really happy!
Thank you very much.
Hotel in the heart of the town.
Very comfortably.
Everything is nearby.
Clean, with an Irish flavor, very nice, thank you!
