Chapelizod – 2 hotels and places to stay

This family run hotel is only 6.5 km from Dublin City Centre. It offers free car parking, free Wi-Fi access and full Irish Breakfasts.

Very welcoming receptionist and all staff extremely helpful and polite. This is a very traditional hotel where you can still witness the personal touch the staff have with guests. Breakfast was great with lots of choice and we also ate an evening meal in the Liffey Bar which was delicious. Bus stop across the road is very convenient to take you in to the city centre.

With panoramic views across Dublin Port, The Gibson Hotel is next to the 3Arena. It boasts bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a 24-hour gym, a fine restaurant, and secure private parking.

Location is a bit polluted, frankly. The breakfast, on the other hand, was a work of the gods ;)

Blooms Hotel is located in Dublin’s Temple Bar district, 150 metres from Trinity College and Dublin Castle. It has a traditional Irish pub, a nightclub and rooms with flat-screen TVs.

The staff is very very kind. We got a complimentary drink at the VAT House (which is a great place btw with amazing live music. We spent almost every evening there for a final drink) when we arrived and our room was ready before the check in time. The location is also perfect. We got clean towels everyday. Bed are comfortable.

Excellent staff, bus stop outside for getting into the city centre, great to catch up with extended family . Ate our evening meal at hotel, it was great. Loved the city centre, so much history and beautiful buildings.

The hotel was very nice from the moment you stepped inside you felt very welcomed. The staff are so nice, we were down for the garth brooks concert and they couldn't have been more helpful, making sure we had a way there and told us were to go for quicker commute. The bus stops right outside the hotel and takes you straight into the centre in about 20mins. The bedrooms were so clean and comfortable and the food was incredible, I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back again, thanks again for making our stay so great.
