The hotel was just fantastic from start to finish! The staff were amazing and very friendly, the bedroom was one of the nicest I’ve ever stayed in! I loved the little brownies in the room upon check in and then the lovely gift of fresh soda bread upon checkout! The food in Fitz bar was delicious and the trad music was great! We had an amazing stay and can’t wait to return on our next trip home from Australia.
This country house hotel has a quiet location, looking out over the Cliffs of Moher, the Aran Islands and Galway Bay. It has free parking, luxury rooms and an award-winning restaurant.
Built in the Georgian period in 1736, Aran View Country House stands on a hill on the coast road and commands one of the finest views of the wild Clare coastline.

We had my sister's 50th birthday with family and friends, we had 20 people, we booked the whole house. The facilities are just fabulous with bar, pool room, dining hall. We had ages 17 to 80 and all loved it, rooms are spacious and spotless. We brought our own drinks and food, There were little things like musty odors, but disapated once we ventaled the rooms, it was early in the season so probably not used much over winter months. Overall fabulous and would recommend

It was clean, cozy, warm. Good furnished kitchen, clean and tidy bedroom, wonderful attention to details, nice view, easy to find, good logistics and facilities, heating on, which is great. Nice location, easy and fast access to touristical attractions. Met the owner, nice lovely lady. Stayed for two nights, very enjoyable, good price and quality!

It was between Christmas and new years that we went on a family weekend trip to Doolin. It was so enjoyable. The house was fab and so homely ..Tea, coffee, Fresh Milk, eggs and bread had been left for us which was so lovely and welcoming. We used it all. So well equipped in the house. Beautiful décor throughout , every bedroom was gorgeous with its own bathroom attached. Loved it. Doolin Village was so quaint and relaxing. We walked a lot as were lucky with the weather, it was just cold. The cliffs of Moher nearby were breath-taking! We will be back!

Loved the ambiance and Atlantic wildness of the place.
Loved the ambiance and Atlantic wildness of the place. A very small pastoral little village. Would like to return probably in the Fall Shoulder season when weather still likely to be good and crowds are gone from this beautiful place. Stay could be longer to visit the Cave and the Burren. With the weather so bad and colder than usual (early January), we were glad to move on this time around. Afraid of being trapped by bad weather.

This was our 2nd time in Doolin.
This was our 2nd time in Doolin. If you're visiting for the 1st time, definitely take the Doolin ferry to the Aran Islands. We had great food at Russell's albeit a little pricey.
We don't recommend McDermott's Pub, staff was not friendly and welcoming. We do recommend McGann's or Fitz's for pubs. There is some nice shopping in Doolin.

We saw a lot in just one day.
We saw a lot in just one day. Stopped at Doolin Cave on the way into town. Had an exceptional dinner at McDermott's and listened to traditional music by really great local musicians. Took a scenic cruise of the Cliffs of Mohr from Doolin Pier and visited several nice shops in the village.

We thought the ferry ride to Innis Oire was overpriced at 35 euros a head, and the time on the island excessively long, almost four hours, with not a lot to do there. There seemed to be more bike rentals than craft or other types of shops. The pier has no shelter for the wind and rain that is frequent. The horse buggy ride was reasonably priced and the driver pleasant and helpful. The pub was good, also, with a modest menu and reasonable prices. McDermot’s Pub in Doolin, was very good with traditional Irish country fare available and at reasonable prices.

First and foremost, the hotel staff are wonderful. In particular, the member of staff (a young woman) who phoned to check we had made arrangements for dinner if we were arriving late. She then checked us in and we got a wonderful loaf of bread on departure. The hotel and houses are in a great location. Although the hotel bar is a new build it had a lovely atmosphere.
I will be forwarding a full detailed report regarding the Doolin Inn and my stay .. when I arrive back home from my trip to Ireland in 8 days time with documentary evidence... I also intend to write a corresponding review of the hotel in the appropriate Booking.Com section!
Completely off the grid - no service or wifi. So nice to disconnect. But be sure to have your taxi’s pre booked and dinner reservations made. 30 minute walking distance from Doolin village. Tea/coffee and snacks left out for us. Elaine the hostess is such a lovely woman.
Stayed twice in the space of 4 weeks for weddings. Gorgeous hotel, perfect location for weddings in the Hotel Doolin. Breakfast was lovely. Staff excellent.
