A place with a strong character. Very well renovated barn next to the former farmhouse with two rooms in the main space. The location is remote and it is important to follow the advice you will get from the hosts about how to use sat nav to get there. Some miles down a narrow road, better characterized as a lane.
Convenient to Skibbereen and to Mizen Head, and a great touring base. Hosts could not have been kinder. Excellent breakfast, made to order at a time of your choosing. Stuart went to some trouble to find out what was open (we were very off season).

The accommodation was excellent! Spacious, clean, and nicely appointed. Majella and Pat (the hosts) were gracious, welcoming, and helpful. Lovely people! Very spacious, comfortable cottage with a beautiful view in a quiet location close to everything we wanted to see/access.
Overlooking the Ilen River and close to the center of Skibbereen, the West Cork Hotel has a restaurant and a bar. Free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and free on site parking are available.

Pricey Saturday to Sunday stay with a comfortable and clean room. The price included a continental breakfast (not a full breakfast). No eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles or pancakes etc. are served but can be bought for a price.
No USB hubs for electronics, just receptacles in the room. The s
taff was friendly. Convenient location. Did not eat in the restaurant as it was too busy and no seating left.

The B & B is tastefully appointed and the surroundings are so beautiful. Our host Jan was a mine of local information. He was very kind and hospitable- made us feel very much at home. An excellent cook - his home made currant buns were very more-ish!
