Margaret is so hospitable. Gortamullen house was perfect for our family of 5. We had 2 rooms and it's a short distance from the quaint town of Kenmare. It's nice to be able to talk to someone who has the time and knowledge of the area. Margaret gave good recommendations for dinner options.

We loved Kenmare, it was such a cute little town with a lot to offer, fun shopping and good eats. Very walkable. It’s a great place for access to Killarney NP and we wish we could have explored more there. Now that we know of Kenmare we will definitely be spending more time here on our next visit.

Great little town. So many excellent restaurants and shops.
Great little town. So many excellent restaurants and shops. Kenmare
lies between the Kerry Ring and the Beara Ring and is not too far from Killarney so lots to experience.
One of our favourite restaurants was the Boathouse Bistro beautiful setting and great food.
On the way to Killarney stop at Mollys Gap to take a photo and make sure to visit the Avoca shop - the gift section is beautiful and the pastries are top.
Grab a coffee before you head off for the day at Bean & Batch - you will not regret it.

This was by far my favorite stay in Ireland! My husband and I regretted that we only stayed one night. The room was modern, spacious and comfortable! The shower was the best we had on our trip. It was walking distance to all the stores and restaurants. Kenmare is a lovely town and I highly recommend it on a road trip in Ireland. I accidentally left some clothes and the owner was nice to ship it to me at my next hotel!
Breakfast was exceptional, as good as any 5-star hotel I have ever stayed in. The location is absolutely perfect for exploring Kenmare town. The rooms are mostly on a side street and so are very quiet.
Perfect location with stunning views of Kenmare Bay and a short walk to town. Lovely old country house with fascinating history. Friendly proprietor greeted us on arrival. Good breakfast.
