The Johnstown Estate Lodges, a property with a garden, is situated in Enfield, 20 km from Trim Castle, 33 km from Hill of Ward, as well as 33 km from Hill of Tara.

The lodges were perfect for kids, very spacious but the beds were very luxurious and comfy even the 2 singles. The playground outside our door was so great and a safe space for kids to play.

Kinnegad was the perfect spot to begin.

Kinnegad was the perfect spot to begin. It is relaxed and has several advantages. It is close to many walks and bigger towns eg Mullingar,, you can bus up to Dublin for the day very easily so no wrestling with the traffic or parking fees. The local pub “Scanlons” is a fabulous place to grab a meal and meet some of the locals (and the apple crumble was delicious).
