The surroundings are amazing!! Breakfast was very decent and room was fully equipped! The hotel feels very old, but for me that wasn't a problem.

Peaceful Cottage is located in Cork, just 22 miles from University College Cork and 23 miles from Blarney Castle.

Driving up to the property, it felt like I was ready to forget to USA and live there permanently. Who knows it could happen 😁. My favorite spot in the house? The ikea sofa bed with soft blanket. Kitchen was stocked with pots and pans and fresh eggs for quick breakfast. Beyond a brief stop into the neighboring town for groceries we set our sights on hunkering down in our home away from home. This place was extremely quiet and perfect for relaxing. I hope to stay here a month next time or longer I'm not even sure if that's possible Lol . All I need is to get getting lost in a book (and not a screen), and finding a way to enjoy our adventure without staring at our phones was restorative and fun. My partner’s favorite spot was undoubtedly the fireplace, where he also engaged in some much-needed me-time and meditated. Peaceful Cottage was great for stargazing, reading, and having a few quiet moments to myself in the following morning light. What amazing sunrise 🌄. I believe if we weren't so jet lagged a walk down the lane would have been pleasant. Engaging with our host was nice definitely need to repeat again with more time here. Actively searching for a home in Ireland and we visited GG Grandfather resting place. They say you can't go home again. I disagree home isn't always a place it's a memory.

Just stayed on the hotel for one night - hotel was clean and comfortable, staff were really pleasant and breakfast was good. Bar Food was finished by 8.15pm which was a minor disappointment as we were late arrivals (arrived before 8.30pm)...but overall no issues with the accommodation.

Excellent gateway to west Cork and a destination in its own right by the Castle remnants of the MacCarthy Muskerry Lords of Gaelic Ireland, and along the Banks of the Sulán River. Perfect for visiting peaceful, stunning Gougane Barra, Máigh Cromtha, land of the Caoineadh Art O Laoghaire has it going on, nice cafe by Castle market gates too, also the nearby Ghaorthaidh , the only alluvial "drowned" forest in Europe , Paddy Hodnett the whiskey coinneuseur worth a shout into if travelling onto Inchydoney and the Clonakilty Distillery

The photos on the website did not portray the real hotel! It is in need of a refurb to make it more professional, attractive and homely to guests. Staff seem rushed and did the bare minimum and we’re not always around to answer questions. It was not easy to find the restaurant opening times. As we only stayed one night it was passable for what we wanted but glad I didn’t stay longer!
