The location and style of the building was exactly what we wanted. We were researching my partners family history and it felt like the sort of cottage his family would have lived in (although updated to 21st century living!!). These old houses have a few quirks but it was well equipped and very clean. The host was so helpful and introduced us to neighbours who had family connections with my partner so we were able to fill in more of the puzzle.

The host, Maggie, was a lovely lady who really looked after us. The price for our stay was brilliant. Breakfast was healthy and plentiful. The property was warm, very clean and comfortable.

I would have liked a taxi to and from the hotel. I did send a message to hotel enquiring about a taxi from station. My email wasn't replied to. I simply received a standard message. The staff were unable to get me a taxi back to the station. I have a bad back and had to walk a mile in each direction with my luggage. It would be nice to have more vegetarian food options. Bathroom could do with a refurbishment.
