A lovely old country house, it is quaint and has its own character. The host is very friendly and accommodating. Didn’t have a cooked breakfast but just some toast and coffee (which was excellent). Great value for the short stay. I like this place; they are becoming few and far between.

This country house is just wonderful. I've stayed here twice. Each time it was for work. I will definitely return for a personal visit. The House is beautiful. I stayed in the main house the 2nd time I visited. But the rooms across from the house are like a home from home, if your home is a beautiful period building surrounded by history. Stunning place to stay.
The breakfast is the best breakfast I've had. It comes in 2 courses, with homemade granola and fresh fruits. The cooked breakfast was just divine made with local produce from Clonakilty, Roscwrbwrry and Ballybrow's organic garden.
The stewardess of this amazing accommodation is the delightful Geraldine. She is the ray of sunshine keeping Barnabrow a bright light in the south of Ireland.
Wonderful place, wonderful staff.....just Wonderful!! I will be back, again and again.

I have been traveling around Ireland for 20 years and I compare Midleton to Ballina Co Mayo
I worked there for over 8 years for the President of Ireland Merry Robinson
and Midleton reminds me a lot of this place
that's why I have such a sentiment and I often come back
very nice people
very friendly environment
Overall, I have only good experiences and positive feelings in Ireland
I will definitely recommend visiting this hotel
Midleton is very easy to find your way around, it's a small, cozy town

Enjoyed walk at pollinators park with my dog . I thing this can be said about most Irish Towns If a woman is travelling on her own it is not easy to find a place for a late evening drink ,ice cream or coffee outside hotels Travelling alone on the continent this is never a difficulty

We stayed here for a few days to visit the distillery. We booked a tour where did they explained how the whiskey was made. How did the distillery became to what it is today and what they still make. They also explained how do you make the whiskey, what process looks like and of course, which one is the most popular.
Is was really nice, you got a tour trough the old distillery and trough the new distillery.

Definitely recommend the Farmers Market and a walk up the high street exploring some of the sights off the street behind or above shops. The distillery is well worth a visit. We love visiting the sea and there are plenty of beches within easy access of Midleton. CastleMartyr resort is a lovely place to visit as has fab outdoor spaces, history, spa provision and we has a plentiful afternoon tea there. Midleton is within easy access of Cork city and a trip via train from Midleton is well worth it. East Ferry to have a drink at Murphs bar is a nice trip as is photo island.

Friendly little town we walked around before visiting the Jameson Distillery. Parking is scarce, even on a Tuesday morning, so we had to park and walk half a mile. Bring a travel umbrella....it often showers, then brightens up again, then showers again (mid July). We met many locals on the street who were friendly, helpful,

I cannot recommend Tranquil Water enough - the beautiful view, the comfortable bedrooms, the amazing breakfast but most of all, the kind and thoughtful host Mary. When Mary heard I was on a break both to recharge my batteries but also do some writing, she made sure I knew of the best places to walk to and even found me the most beautiful space to write. On a break of a few weeks in different hotels and places, this was the highlight.
From the moment we arrived Kamla made us feel very welcome. The property is set in a quiet beautiful country area but close enough to Midleton to drive in for dinner. Kamla provided a kovely breakfast for us in her warm spacious kitchen which has a delightful view of the countryside. I would stay here again.
