Set 14 km from St Patrick's Cathedral, Skibbereen, The Waterfront Hotel offers 3-star accommodation in Baltimore and features a shared lounge, a restaurant and a bar.

Nobody to greet us when we arrived but a helpful lady from the bar took control and showed us to our room. Friendly. Wonderful location. Stayed in room 3. Sink is cracked so could do with being replaced

Featuring over 100 designer rooms, some with sea views and balconies, and others overlooking mature woods this luxury accommodation is situated very conveniently for the famous bay of the region.

Evening menu disappointing as no details of dishes that could be made gf or vegetarian. It is not acceptable just to tell us to talk to our server - by that stage we have committed to a booking and not gone elsewhere!

This family-run hotel has a quiet location, looking out over the harbour and the mouth of the River Ilen. It has free parking, a traditional Irish pub and an award-winning seafood restaurant.

Good breakfast, cooked and fresh (latter buffet). Very friendly and well mannered/good humoured young staff

Very quaint, lovely town and people are very friendly.

Very quaint, lovely town and people are very friendly. Excellent service in the local chemist. The supermarket is adequate for most essentials and has fuel and parking at the rear. Streets are quite narrow so you have to be patient at times if there are delivery lorries or the bin waggon. Lovely beach area and playground for kids. It's like stepping back in time. Plenty of good food and pubs.

Schull is idyllic, peaceful and relaxing.

Schull is idyllic, peaceful and relaxing. Alongside this there is so much to see, highly recommend the drive out to Mizen head, stopping off at the Altar for spectacular views at the wedge tomb. Mizen head bridge and viewing point are an absolute must. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t play ball for our planned whale watching trip, sea swell was too much. Next time! We did take the trip out to Fastnet lighthouse and wow what an experience. It’s another must. Spending a few hours strolling Caoe Clear afterward with an impromptu dip in the freezing cold sea but so refreshing! And of course a pint at the most southerly club, O’Sullivans had to be had. Wish we had stayed longer, so much more to do and see. And the weather was incredible, we were so lucky.

Was told by a local publican ( D’altons - tell Rory Gerry said Hi !) that this hotel was taken over 2 years ago. If so they have got it right …friendly welcoming professional staff, great food, great location on the edge of the small self contained village. Parking free opposite hotel, leisure facilities first class alongside pool, sauna etc. Restaurant and breakfast well worth the additional cost of the self contained apartments attached to hotel where we stayed. You could not fault it …only 20 mins from must see Mizen Head, the local village of Schull has everything you need, great food, great coffee shops, hostelries, and a variety of other galleries etc., tidy safe harbour village, we’ll worth the six hour drive from the North to get there …a hidden gem …I’ll definitely be back …

A lovely West Cork village that makes a big effort to look smart and offers a great welcome. Nice landscaped public spaces (waterfront promenade) and lots of pubs, cafes and restaurants. Also supermarket shopping and a pharmacy, A mecca for sailors.
