There is a lot of history in Zichron Ya'akov as it was one...
There is a lot of history in Zichron Ya'akov as it was one of the first settlements way back in the 1880s, before Israel was even a state. The town center is fascinating with 2 museums, good restaurants, lots of shops and coffee houses. Several wineries nearby. Tishbi Wines have a lovely restaurant very near Cozy Cabin. The only downside to Zichron Ya'akov is parking - wow its hard to find parking. At least, on the street where Cozy Cabin is, it's usually not too big a problem. The town sits atop a high hill and the views are fantastic. Outside of the town there are many places to go and things to do. The beach is not far away, Carmel Caves are a must, Daliat el Carmel is a druze village 20 km away. Zikhron Yaakov is one of Israel's most well adapted cities to tourism. It has a lovely central street with all the shops and bars and restaurants with plenty parking space in the vicinity.
