Stay was perfect, nice staff.
But bad service if you have some questions with payment.
I made reservation for 4 days via booking. Before my check-in Hotel charge from me amount for one night. After my arriving I paid for all accommodation at check-in day. The promise to unlock amount for one night, but still it was not happened 10 days past after payment from my full accommodation and check-in date.. In my messages they answer very slowly and stall for time.
By phone hotel does not answer. Never make prepayment for accommodation in this hotel.

Chennai is my home town, so I may be biased in my rooting for the city. It is the best metro in India for many reasons (1) excellent infrastructure, especially transport, metro is awesome (2) great places to dine (3) lots of places to visit, example the Marina Beach, second longest in the world and a number of temples. (4) art and culture, with Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram nearby. (5) safe (6) lots of industries- automobile, IT, world class hospitals and much more.

Hot in January - 25+ day and night.
Not a lot of tourist sights. Most are outside the city by day tour.
Kanchipuram and Mahabalipuram are must see day trips.
Motor rickshaws do not use meters - negotiate a price before starting. Or use Uber.
Be prepared to see squalor and poverty.
Only drink bottled water and make sure that you break the seal, do not let the seller do it.

Chennai is an interesting city, though very chaotic and the traffic is terrible. It really isn’t possible to walk anywhere; the distances are much greater in reality than they seem on the map. However, tuk-tuks are cheap and plentiful, so it is possible to get around fairly easily.
The beach is disappointing, more like a desert than a beach, and the water is dirty so it’s impossible to swim.
The most interesting place for us was the Government Museum, an incredible complex of buildings with an amazing collection of bronze and stone statues dating back to the seventh century, with good explanations in English.
Chennai is also convenient for making a day trip to see the temples at Kanchipuram.
For shopping, I would recommend Spencer Plaza, for souvenirs and handicrafts, rather than Express Avenue, which is a glossy modern shopping mall full of western shops.

Review for Essentia Premier Hotel Chennai OMR
I had a wonderful stay at Essentia Premier Hotel Chennai OMR. The staff was incredibly helpful and courteous, making my experience seamless from check-in to check-out.
I arrived around midnight, and the team swiftly allotted my room without any hassle. The next day, I had a meeting and requested a late checkout by an hour, and they gladly accommodated my request. A special thanks to Urvashi and Edwin for their exceptional hospitality!
Clean, budget accommodation in an old heritage building. Well maintained, with a courtyard and old world charm right in the middle of the city. Usually such properties get converted into uber luxury heritage hotels, but this was a pleasant surprise when it came to the wallet. Very friendly down to earth and helpful staff. Perfect location for access to downtown chennai!
The stay was good and pleasant. Easy accessibility location. Cleanliness of the room and friendly manner of the staffs.Good hotel to stay. I am regular customer of this hotel. I always love to stay, where staff is very helpful and it is so generous. Good budget hotel. Also good for business and family trip to chennai
If it weren't for the slightly cold welcome to the hotel, I'd probably rate this higher (the bed was incredibly comfortable and the breakfast much recommended). You get what you pay for - a mid-range hotel in an area of Chennai where you need a bit of patience to get around to/from the city centre.
