After reaching Silchar, I was shocked to see the pathetic urban infrastructure of the town which was further deteriorated due to muddy streets, open drains, broken and potholed roads, flooded roads with drain water. Overall, anything that turns living in a town into hell.
Silchar is the dirtiest town of Northeast and the third dirtiest town of India as per an old article of 2019, link shared below. I believe, the ranking still stands valid.

There was no intercom service inside room.
There was no intercom service inside room. Even I requested them for providing phone set or connection. They advised us to communicate with them over mobile phone ! I was very much surprised and disappointed about their advise. It is totally nonprofessional behavior.

I was on transit from Haflong to Aizawl and had to stay at Silchar overnight. The city is like any other district town with general facilities but huge traffic jam. As I did not stay for long, I am unable to provide any other details
