This is a cozy little guesthouse, very clean, and the staff were very friendly! My room had a great view to the sea. It's very good value for money.

This has to be the cleanest, most comfortable cottage I’ve been staying at in Iceland. Everything is perfect! Checking in and out was very easy, I had full privacy (the cottages are based on a farm but it felt like I was alone on the property), the view is amazing, and the kitchen is more than perfect! I was especially happy with the fantastic coffee machine; real beans, real coffee, so much better than these instant machines. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had great water pressure! The location is perfect also: only ten minutes away (by car) from the nice village Blönduós, where you can go to the swimming pool, get your groceries, eat out and have beautiful walks (make sure to visit the bird island when it’s open, and also take a walk to the sea through the park!)
Don’t hesitate to book!

Very private. Perfect location for Northern lights spotting, especially from the hot pot(tub) and deck. Very picturesque with gorgeous views from every window. Just out of town, well equipped kitchen. Quick communication responses from very welcoming hosts, who dropped by to check all was well, after I'd messaged looking for the hotpot plug, which they had replied to with the answer.
Cosy, Icelandic decor just added a great vibe to the stay. Comfortable and charming, thank you.

principalement l'hébergement était fantastique autant par son emplacement que par l'accueil de nos hotesses et la qualité des prestations (hébergement, diner, petit déjeuner)...Le village de Blonduos n'étant pas vraiment remarquable en tant que tel....

Great stop on the ring road, Hwy. 1.
Great stop on the ring road, Hwy. 1. Simple town with nice guesthouses on the ocean. Highly recommend the Brimslod Altier Guesthouse! We also had dinner there, and is open to non-guest reservations. A good place to stay overnight, not a lot of amenities in town or need to stay overly long. There are cafes and stops to gas.

Amazing sea views. Great breakfast.
Amazing sea views. Great breakfast. Ate dinner at another establishment in town that was very good. If we stayed longer we would have eaten dinner at the hotel. The room was gorgeous. Loved the roof window. It even had a bluetooth speaker that sounded great. We could have stayed much longer if we had the time. Blonduos is a quiet and beautiful little town with much history.

Nice little bridgehead town with various services.
Nice little bridgehead town with various services. A good base to travel from. Various choices of good day trips, e.g. around Skagi and Vatnsnes peninsulas, Skagafjörður district and the scenic valley of Vatnsdalur. Blönduós is also a good staring point for a highland drive across Kjölur to Reykjavík.

Reviews for the guesthouse weren't very good so we were a little hesitant to stay there. But the reviews were so very wrong. It's not a 5-star hotel, but it was so much better. Comfortable with a wonderful mother and daughter who made our stay one of our favorite stays in all Iceland.
A really simple and quiet hotel with great accomodations (swimming pool, jacuzzi, playground, piano...). I saw just one guy of the staff and he was lovely and attentive to the guest's needs and desires.
An excellent experience!
Nicely modernized hotel with kind staff. The room was miniature, but it had everything you needed. The Nespresso coffee machine was a pleasant surprise. The room had an extra-large shower.
The hotel is a bit outdated but compensates with a good breakfast, friendly stuff, hot tubs and the beautiful surrounding area. Unfortunately no flat irons are available.
