We stayed in a newer cabin. It was immaculate. Had an excellent family dinner at the house and did a horse ride to the beach. Got a bonus of northern lights one night. Great base for exploring the peninsula.

Magnificent. The location is breathtaking - mountains behind you, beach in front of you, it was the perfect way to end our day after exploring Snaefellsnes National Park. Having a restaurant on site PLUS horse farm next door for horse rides (highly recommend booking a ride) was more than we could have asked for. This place will hold a special place in my heart.

Doesn’t look like much but has a great location and clean facilities. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were bad, really lumpy and thin.

Everything was beautiful, clean and cosy. The only issue we had was working the television or connecting it to our streaming services, but that may be “user error”!

Hotel Búðir is a must stay if staying over on the peninsula. We stayed for one night and it was a perfect stop after a long day. They have a happy hour in the lounge from 1600-1800 hours. Pleasant and helpful staff. Just do it!

Lovely cosy hotel with a gorgeous drive to get there. Surrounded by water and mountains with a nice walk down to the beach, past the church if you want to. Amazing sunrise in the morning. Room was nice and spacious, the building is quite dated but it adds to the charm plus I could see they are doing renovations. Nice couches and cosy corners near the bar to cuddle up and read or chat over a glass of wine. Dinner was lovely and breakfast had a nice spread.
Very nice location next to the Budir black church. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Our room had a nice view, over the water towards snow-capped mountains. The restaurant serves really good food and the French sommelier knows his wines. The overall feel is a mix between hotel pampering and visiting your favourite old aunt; the latter mainly because of the old (antique?) furniture and embroidered table clothes in the restaurant.
On the Internet ppl say this is the most romantic hotel in Iceland and the restaurant offers the best in Iceland. For that, no I do not think so. Room facilities are at best basic. There is not even coffee machine, catle, small fridge, no desk, none. Way to basic for this price. Restaurant, food wise I think the chief is trying top hard to be fancy. Hugely expensive, for the taste we had, no, it's not good value for money.
