We loved this town and wish we had been able to stay 2 nights! It was rainy and foggy during our stay so could not really see the full beauty of it. We went to the tourist information center and were greeted by a very helpful women. We booked a family room and the space is alright and the facilities is just acceptable. The cabins were constructed next to a some kind of a truck workshop and the reception is 1km away. We had an outage and no electricty till the next morning. A great place to stop while driving the Ring Road. Very good restaurants nearby and a very good breakfast on the property. I had booked 2 rooms because I had 3 people and Bookings.com said I had to have 2 rooms, when in fact there were 3 beds, so always doublecheck this with hotel. Breakfast buffet was one of the better ones we had during our stay in Iceland including vegan food. The staff was extremely kind. There are enough parking spaces for everyone.
