The first night the hostess was not friendly, but the lady on the second night was a vast improvement. It was comfortable, quiet and clean. There is a policy posted in the rooms that if you eat in them, they charge you for an extra night. It’s understandable, but as we were traveling with a toddler it would have been helpful to know that before booking.

Keys were available right away! The view was breathtaking and the location was great to see the nearby nature attractions. The hosts were also great at communication and very clear with instructions.

    Wonderful Hidden Gem of a Hotel and Breakfast was OUTSTANDING Rooms are quiet and comfortable and well maintained and upgraded. Shower was a little tight and needs some update to make a little safer for people stepping in and out. A grab bar or better flooring would help. But overall WELL DONE

    Hvolsvöllur is a small town (village?), but you can find restaurants, petrol station, supermarket here, therefore ideal base of excursions -for instance to the Golden Circle (North West) or Vik region (South West). Nevertheless there is a very special facility, the Lava Centre which much be visited definitely.

    Hvolsvöllur has plenty of good accommodation and a good grocery store. Very nice swimming pool as well. So its a good place for a base to travel from on day trips. Eldstó restaurant is a very friendly small place with great burgers and soups. Local attractions available.

    The owners were very friendly.

    The owners were very friendly. They help us even at midnight. The apartment was big, clean, enough for 6 people. The place was near by the Golden circle, Black beach and other attractions. Definitely recomend it.

    The proximity to the ferry for the Westman Islands was the...

    The proximity to the ferry for the Westman Islands was the reason we chose this property - it was only 10mins drive from the ferry terminal. Additionally, the property is 1km from Seljalandfoss, meaning you can visit away from the busiest times of day. The cabins were literally on the ring road, making it easy to find but no need to worry about noise. A very good place to stay the night and enjoy all the amazing attractions between Seljanlandfoss and Vik.

    The location was beautiful only a short 5-10 minute drive to Seljafoss waterfall. The breakfast was excellent and we really did not expect as many choices in such a boutique place. The staff were excellent, really kind and helpful. Hotel room was small in size but it had everything we needed including electric kettle, TV, fridge. There was a coffee machine available in the lobby 24/7 free of charge which was lovely.

    Such friendly staff - it’s clear they love the place so much. The rooms were cozy and welcoming. So many spaces for hanging out and enjoying oneself. The restaurant is also a must. The Icelandic salmon appetizer with the dill mustard spread was incredible. It’s a shame we only spent a night! Would definitely come back and also do a tour run by them!

    Cozy private boutique hotel. Owners extremely pleasant. The staff excellent and very warm welcoming. The rooms are very nice in country style. The food is good both breakfast and dinner. Spa is great and they offer massage. The environment is magnificent! Maybe one of the best country hotels in Iceland.

    Lovely little hotel on the ring road. Cosy lobby with a nice bar and resting area with great views to the surrounding landscape. breakfast was great, with fresh pancakes and also eggs, beans, bacon and different types of skyr. Hot tub outside with stunning views! very helpful staff!
