The location is stellar. We had a room with view of the (frozen) lake. The hotel is sitting on a hill, so you could see the aurora easily if the weather had cooperated. The staff does give you wake-up calls for the Northern Lights!
Dinner was wonderful, even if the menu is limited, and very expensive. We had the Blue Ling and the prawn ravioli.

Location was amazing, remote but not hard to reach. The conditions were right and the clouds cleared up for some amazing views of the northern lights! The breakfast was beyond amazing and the best we had at a hotel/hostel/airbnb on our entire 2 week trip. Would definitely stay here again if were ever back in the area!

The owner was very helpful upon our arrival. While we don’t typically eat breakfast, there were plenty of options available. I appreciated having access to a microwave, a small fridge, and ample tea, coffee, and milk, along with a fancy coffee machine for lattes. The clean dining area felt relaxing for warming up our dinner and having tea. I loved that we could leave our dirty dishes for them to clean—it made our stay even more enjoyable. The room had a sink (if I remember correctly).
The owners were very happy to help us plan to maximize our time for the next day. I will perhaps stay here again as I have yet to explore that area (we had only one night).

This was such a cute guesthouse! It was fairly roomy with space to get into luggage, a small seating area, kitchenette, and decent sized bathroom. We appreciated the well stocked kitchenette even though we only used it for coffee. There’s also a shared hot tub on the porch, though we didn’t test it out. Lots of outlets and radiator space. Easy check in. Would stay again.
