The hotel was located in a quiet location. I liked the decor inside with natural stone and oldies. The staff could respond to handle promptly when I told her there were no towels and the rubbish basket was not cleared in our room. Good breakfast

Spectacular view of mountains, friendly owner- they’ve been running this business through generations. Newly renovated and very modern looking. Very cosy and not far from Kirkjufell. Celebrated Christmas dinner with owner and family and absolutely loved how welcoming everyone was. Oh, and food was very delicious!! Highly recommend!! Love everything about this place.

Good location for a night stop-over. Quiet at night although its along the main road.
Bed is soft, room heating is good. Hot breakfast is good with reasonable standard items.

The most amazing view I have ever experienced in a hotel. We had a corner room with a view of the sea from 2 sides. It was incredible. Location is spectacular. Very peaceful and extremely remote. The hotel was comfortable, the room was spacious and uniquely oldy -worldy with monogrammed towels and luxurious bathrobes. It wasn’t cheap, but it was well worth it.

It was the most expensive, low-end hotel that I have booked in my entire life. There are no staff on duty, and emails, messages and listed phone number are not contactable at all. It literally feels like a ghost hotel.
Pipes are choked, and breakfasts are not even served, although this has been paid for. The corridor is not lit up at all too.
Seriously would not recommend anyone to stay there, even though it is just a stone throw away from the famous Kirkjufell mountain.
Grundarfjordur Bed and Breakfast is located in Grundarfjordur and features a bar. Featuring luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with a restaurant. Free WiFi is available.

Laganholt is a very pretty location near to
many natural wonders. Be respectful of the area rules and enjoy! Just remember to bring your own food, restaurants are not just around the corner and the options are limited.
