The apartment was clean, beds were comfy, nice to have a kitchenette so we could cook a meal, although a sink plug or washing up bowl would have made washing up easier.
The tv didn’t work, no reception for any channels or Netflix, would have been nice to have & if it’s not working probably shouldn’t be advertised.
We arrived a bit early & called to ask if we could check in & were told this was fine so that was handy.

We had a great stay here. Amazing location and views of the harbour. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Kitchenware could do with updating but there was enough of what we needed.

Great hotel as a stop over and conveniently located to explore the area.
Specifically booked this hotel as it has a restaurant attached but was emailed a short while before the trip to say it would be closed and mentioned another restaurant in a nearby town (which was also closed for dinner on the days we were there)
Situated on western Iceland’s Snaefellsnes Peninsula, this former fish processing factory has been converted into a professional theatre and artsy hostel. Free WiFi access is available throughout.

Small, quiet Icelandic town but with enough facilities to support a vacation stay. Plan to get all your supplies by 18:00 as stores close then.
Location is central to all sites on the peninsula.
Not many restaurants in Olafsvik and those open were closed or on limited hours in the off season (late September) but there are some in nearby towns that were open.

Bikers paradise is far more beyond our expectations. it is close to church mountain and national park, sea views and mountain views with some waterfalls. The whole family of the host is one of the kindest people we have ever meet. They are very happy to help whenever their guests need. Apparently we were acknowledged they have helped many guests for free, such as stuck in the snow, car breakdown , late arrival without food etc.

A lot of things to see around the peninsula - make the circular drive around the tip. Visit Laugarbrekka, Malarrif Ligjthouse, Rauðfeldsgjá Gorge, and the Gatklettur. A lot of restaurants nearby (I had some great fish n chips while there). Local folks are courteous and helpful. I hated to leave.

Ólafsvík is the larger of settlements around Snaefellsjokull national park. There are plenty of things to see on this end of West Iceland, so 2-3 days is a good length of stay here. It has a bank, shop, and gas station; a fairly remarkable church, and a post office.

Very big and nice apartment with parking space in the center of Olafsvik. The villiage itself is perfect to visit Snaefellsnes peninsula and you have good chances to see nothern lights (we saw some).
Everything was clean and quite new in the apartment and it was really big. We stayed with 4 persons (2 seperate rooms) and we had a living room with kitchen. It was a really nice stay and the best location we had during our journey through Island.
The common areas and the kitchen areas were very clean, spacious and well lit. The views from the kitchen area were great. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We were in the double room with ensuite bathroom. The facilities were basic but enough for a comfortable stay. The property has enough parking. The location is quite nice for boat trips from Olafsvik.
Spacious and clean rooms with a nice view over Olafsvik. We stayed two nights and the second night all beds were booked. but due to spacious and well equipped kitchen and additional living room there was enough room for all. Coffee (Philips Senseo) tea, sugar, spices are provided which makes life a whole lot easier. Thanks for a nice stay for a reasonable price.
Perfect location right above Ólafsvík Bay.. We especialy enjoyed the views from our appartment. Ólafsvík was alsoa great place for hiking and discovering Snaefellsnes penninsula. Very nice hosts - thank you!
