The cozy self check in Hotel Skoga is just 5 minutes walk from the spectacular Skogafoss Waterfall situated at the foot of the Eyjafjallajökull glacier.

The location is just perfect, few minutes walking from Skógafoss (which is a super plus if you fancy "private" visitation - just go for a morning or evening visit before/after everyone else). The bedroom size is ok, you can easily fit your stuff. The shower is just amazing (after a long day visiting, you gonna be seeking for a good and warm shower). The hottub outside is good, with a nice view. The breakfast is nice, with a good amount of options. Last but not least, you can find a coffee machine and tea available all the time in the ground floor, which is very nice as well.
Situated in Skogar, 3.8 km from Skogafoss Waterfall, The Drangshlid Inn by Ourhotels features accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking and a terrace.

The location is perfect as it’s very close to the sightseeing spots. The staff is very friendly and attentive. However, the room and furnishings are getting tired, it could have been better with this price range. Refinement on the soft touches would make it more enjoyable.

A lovely place to stay. Perfect for us after the long 24km beautiful walk. Had messaged Inga with a few questions and always got back to me. So helpful. Great location, quiet, clean and comfortable.

The apartment is a gem. It's right next to the Skogafoss and you can plan the hikes around the waterfall while staying here. It had all kitchen utensils we needed to fry, heat food from the market. We were also able to see northern lights during our stay. The host gave clear instructions for self check-in

The property was charming, cozy and gave a mountain cabin vibe as soon as you walk in. The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Our room was warm and comfortable, and we appreciated being able to adjust the temperature using the small heater to suit our preferences. The beds were very soft and we had the best sleep from our trip in this location. While the bathroom was simple and not particularly impressive, it met all our needs. The highlight of our stay was the chance to see the northern lights — thanks to the remote location, we spotted them right after stepping outside at night. We only stayed for one night but were lucky to catch a beautiful display. Breakfast was also enjoyable, with plenty of options to choose from.
Just breathtaking waterfalls. Plan some more time and hike the trail further towards the top. You will have less people there since majority of the visitors are staying at the main waterfall, but what comes after 30 minutes of hike is even better.

Skogafoss is nice, but loses some of its charm due to overcrowding of tourists. I suggest a walk on the path that starts from the top of the stairway (appropriate footwear is required). In the first 3-5 kilometers there are wonderful and wild landscapes and falls

Skogafoss is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world, impressively large, and if there is even a little bit of sunshine, there will be a rain bow in front of the falls. The town of Skogar includes a noteworthy folk history museum.

There is a lot good to be said about Umi. The biggest is the location and view. If you are planning a trip east or west, it is a great destination after a gold circle day or when you come from the glacier lagoon, before you embark on the golden circle. Views are great; the dinner restaurant serves excellent food and the breakfast is sumptuous for a great start into the day.
The location of the hotel is great for sightseeing around Skogar and just minutes away from Skogafoss. There was plenty of parking and the breakfast was outstanding. The breakfast is a cold bar but there is plenty of food and it is restocked often with cold cuts and breads.
The rooms are large and the beds are very comfortable.
Our room was not so big but clean. Also, at that moment we seems to be the only guests and the staff proposed to bring special breakfast for us or have it in their other hotel even closer to Skogafoss, that was super nice:) and breakfast was delicious!
The most satisfying I assume is location, almost at Skogafoss waterfall!
Location is spot on right next to the waterfalls. You can walk there in 5 minutes.
Breakfast is really excellent. There's a restaurant on site and it's really tasty, but really expensive. You're handed a hairdryer at reception if you need one.
