Case al Borgo - Albergo diffuso features spa facilities and a steam room, as well as air-conditioned accommodations in Agira, 12 miles from Sicilia Outlet Village.

Everything is on another level at Case al Borgo. The concept is quite unique, the views are breathtakingly beautiful and the staff is very attentive, professional and non-intrusive. The "rooms" are actually little houses located on top of a medieval city, spread around town. Getting there requires a car, and I would suggest a small one, as the streets that lead to the property are very narrow and might be difficult to navigate for an inexperienced driver. However, once you get there it's all worth it. We had the opportunity to witness Etna erupting from here as well and it was magical.

Filippo's small apartment was perfectly located for our adventure in Agirà being up the steps from the Piazzo Garibaldi where you could find everything you needed for your stay. Delicious food, a couple of great bars, gelato, pizza and a beautiful church. It was everything we needed! Very clean and the washer machine was a great addition, as we had been traveling for days and we're ready to do a load or two. The access was easy and the host was very warm, communicative and accessible! Perfetto!

It is a breathtakingly beautiful small village, if you like places without the mass-tourism, you need to go there. Perfect location to calm down! The streets are super-narrow though, so we left the car at the parking slot of the hotel and went everywhere by foot.

The town was lovely but the roads were WILD.

The town was lovely but the roads were WILD. If you hire a car, please be careful as these were some of the scariest roads I have ever driven on. Most places are shut at the weekend but during the week you will find lovely gelato shops, cafes etc. The views are amazing and you have a clear view of Etna. *Do not listen to google maps for opening times nor directions as this caused many issues including driving backwards around a tight corner up a hill on the edge of a mountain...
