Very calm and small town saved our lives when we needed to overnight in the surroundings and we could not find any cheap camp. When the night was coming, we quickly decided to choose this apartment because it was one of the few which was accepting the last-minute travellers. We also had a late dinner at the local pizzeria and the pizza there was delicious.

This was a beautiful Agroturisma B&B and a working farm with 300 sheep, cows and goats. I liked the fact that it was very remote. The nearest town of Austis was about a 10 minute drive from the B&B.

This is a wonderful secret getaway from the more expensive locations on Sardenia. The value for money here is fantastic. Although this is a B&B, it felt more like getting a whole apartment. The staff were so welcoming, even when we arrived late in the evening. The big bonus is the tiny medieval village we explored the next day. Mandrolisai DOC is a simple setup but has all or more of the amenities you need for a short stay. The fabrics used for the bedding and drapes gives you a sense of the traditional trades that make up the historical context of this rural town.

This is the gem of Sorgono and I recommend you stay here if you want to experience the town easily and have a super comfortable place to stay. Paola, our host, was perfect. She welcomed us with cold drinks and talked to us about the town and her family. The rooms were large with large windows, big bathroom and TV. Cuccumiao is very central. The pool is only 1 min walk away and you are provided with discounted entry. I was so impressed with the breakfast. Paola seemed to have bought fresh, good quality pastries from the local bakery as well as provided yoghurt, fruit, toast and a wonderful coffee and hot chocolate. We LOVED staying here.
