It was great! We had a deal through booking: room with no view, breakfast included. And the breakfast is definitely worth it

It’s an ideal location close to the port for any cruise line leaving Rome, Civatevechia. Great restaurants nearby, shopping and deli. Cute Casino at the corner and the Ocean “Malecón” style to go jogging or
Biking or a stroll is just feet away.
If your port is Civatevechia as your embarking point I recommend you come 1 day before and stay in this quaint beautiful Italian town.

The city itself was nice...friendly people, very historic, our location had an incredible view of the harbor...negative...room we rented was not as advertised (missing a balcony) and amenities in the room were lacking...nice place to visit but not where we stayed...

Best access for cruise departures.
Best access for cruise departures. Staying in Rome makes one vulnerable to train strikes (which occured after I purchased our tickets at the airport to depart immediately for Civitavvechia). Other passengers talked of the chaos of exiting their Rome hotel during a marathon.

We went there a day before our cruise date and had less than a day to explore and wished we could have stayed longer ( next time, we will). The city has a lot to offer, scenery, restaurants and cultural places.

Instead of staying in Rome prior to our cruise, for this trip we opted to stay the night in Civitavecchia. We enjoyed the ambience of the walkways on the bulkhead, with a plethora of excellent restaurants and views along the waterfront. Our dinner was wonderful, and we enjoyed our brief stay prior to our cruise.

We were there for only one night before a cruise.
We were there for only one night before a cruise. We met up with our friends at the Black Lodge, which is an Irish Pub. Dinner just down the street at L'Acqua Salata was one of the best we had in Italy!
We traveled from Rome to Civitavecchia by the high speed train for 21.5 Euro per person. Very convenient. We ended up walking from the train station to our B&B in town, which was a bit of a long walk. We didn't see any taxis, and we would have had to wait for a bus, so we walked.

I had a very good stay at Huguette! Simona is a very attentive host! She started by helping us to locate the building on our way in from Rome and every day she was there to give us a really good breakfast and offer us advice. The property is spotlessly clean and well equipped. It is also very well situated being both close to the station and centre of the town, as well as some great restaurants close by. The wi-fi is excellent. I would go back to Simona and Huguette if I ever come back to Civitavecchia.
Everything! From the initial contact with Luca via text and email until we finally bade goodbye this afternoon he was an amazing host! Nothing was too much trouble for him and he went out of his way to assist us at every move! Even when Italy had a train strike, he organised much needed transport with the lovely Domenico both ways to Rome in a private luxury car, playing beautiful music and pointing out highlights as we drove! Outstanding in every way!
Brilliant location right in the heart of Civitavecchia. Gave us great advice about where to eat - lovely area of cobbled streets and squares just behind hotel. Also arranged taxi to Cruise Terminal ( easy walking distance but more convenient than trailing luggage in the heat and queuing for shuttle bus).
