The accommodation is simply impeccable! We booked last moment, as we were on the way and quickly needed a place to sleep the night---and we regretted that we did not have more time to spend in the area as well as in the hotel :) We will definitely come back and spend more time here! The owners are so polite and hospitable, and we are very curious to try next time the wonderfully looking restaurant that they own just below the accommodation

The location was a complete delight for us. Booked this property just on the distance from Florence and the reviews, we were booking places just a couple of days before arriving somewhere. Such a charming and unexpected property in the most wonderful little hilltop village. Our room had a rooftop terrace accessed by interior stairs from the room - a view of the town, valleys and a very atmospheric castle. A walk through that castle with the mist rolling in and out - not to be missed! The dinner at the inn was delicious and the breakfast was typical Italian style. The owner was lovely and helpful. A very quiet location. The bed was not as comfortable as we would have liked, but bed comfort is always such a personal preference. No public transport, you must have your own vehicle. If you don’t mind curvy roads up and down hilltops, I would highly recommend it! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Amazing idyllic property, so peaceful, calm, tranquil, and a romantic/rejuvenating getaway. We stayed one night but wish we could have had more time. We didn't have time to enjoy the pool, but it looked so beautiful with the nature backdrop and the comfortable cabanas. The hosts were very kind and hospitable. You must have dinner here -- amazing home cooked meal (the best meal we have had in Italy thus far), so fresh and delicious... And being served by Lorena was a treat. Our room was spacious and had all the amenities we needed. The views outside the windows were marvelous. Highly recommended!

The village itself doesn't have much to offer.
The village itself doesn't have much to offer. It is very tiny and has maybe one bar or restaurant. Its advantage is that it's close to a number of Tuscan towns with numerous sights like Siena, Arezzo and Montepulciano.

A spacious room in a small village in the Tuscany hills.
A spacious room in a small village in the Tuscany hills.
I slept here as a stop on a working trip.
The room was simple and conformable, as also the bathroom.
What was less enjoyable was, was the glass door that basically limited the privacy of the room.
The breakfast was gently offered in a kind of bar/cafe located downstairs with no fresh products, expect the coffee, but with a very friendly lady.
It is for sure a good and cheap stop for travelling, but a bit to far from the highway.

Podere La Doccia in Civitella is a delightful boutique farm hotel, perfectly nestled near the small town of Val di Chiana, Italy. Although the roads leading there are narrow and barely fit two cars, the scenic drive through the Tuscan countryside was an absolute joy. The hotel offers a comfortable and impeccably clean stay, with rooms that were remodeled less than five years ago, beautifully designed, and well-maintained. The staff is always attentive and helpful, enhancing the overall experience.
