Located in Varenna and only 3 minutes on foot from Lake Como, Hotel Montecodeno is very close to a ferry boat stop. It offers free WiFi and rooms with views of the garden and mountains.

It was a short walk from the train station and very easy to find. The staff on reception were lovely and gave us great advice on places to visit. The bed was comfortable, and there were plenty of toiletries provided. The hotel was quiet at night which was good.

    good pizza in a restaurant located together with a hotel. another good restaurant near marina, yet that one is rather expensive one. beach is easily accessible and there are paths for runners as well close to major attractions of Lake Como, worth considering travelling by bus. (Italians can be angry drivers if you go according to the speed limits)

    While the journey up the mountain from Cremia was harrowing (LOTS of hairpin turns), it was worth it! Elisa, the owner, was hospitable, pleasant, and interesting. The décor throughout was tasteful and calming. Breakfast was plentiful, and Elisa's homemade cappuccino with grated chocolate on top was the very best I've ever had! Elisa generously made the well-supplied kitchen available to guests who wanted to make their own meals. I would highly recommend La Dolce Casa for visitors to Lake Como.

Its setting on the banks of the lake provides beautiful vistas from the room, making it a visually appealing choice for travellers seeking scenic beauty. The hotel has a designated spot for swimming in Lake Como, and the experience of bathing in the lake was truly amazing. This aspect of the stay was a highlight and added considerable value to the visit.

    Lovely authentic Villa full of character and quirky. Set in a peaceful village overlooking the lake with gardens and parking space. It could be seen as a little rough around the edges especially where the washing machine was located in the unused downstairs apartment downstairs but we completely loved it and had a wonderful stay. Didn’t want to leave! Cremia had some lovely restaurants and felt very untourusty.
