Ispra doesn't have much of anything going on.
Ispra doesn't have much of anything going on. Lakeside is not too exciting. Nothing much in the tiny town. Highlight was the pizzeria, and even then we kept getting told off for getting there too late. Not a great hub to get to other areas because you have to traverse some super narrow roads to get to Laveno or to the west side of the lake. Reasonable price for hotel.
Reasonable price for hotel. Took some work/luck to find a good restaurant. Proximity to Maalpensa airport was a big plus. Lake views less impressive than Stresa. Stresa is a bigger, more picturesque town, but much pricer hotels.Guest review byAndrewUnited States - Review score

Ispra is a lovely town, with a nice little beach, but there could be more cafes and restaurants, especially in the beach area. While there were plenty of places, they were all very spread out around the town. Also in August, many of the restaurants were shut.Guest review byZofiaSpain

You can even have your breakfast or italian coffee at the terrace with the early sun in the morning. I used also the wifi to work and worked perfectly. The staff is very helpful; they take good care of their hosts. He provided all the information necessary and the place was amazing, super clear and the quality of the bed is awesome I felt like sleeping in clouds.
