The views are unmatched - the idyllic Tuscan countryside we had imagined was better than expected. Loved lounging by the pool in such an oasis. Also a great home base for day trips to surrounding towns. 10/10 recommend. The best part: THE STAFF GO ABOVE AND BEYOND. We accidentally left our baby's blanket in our room on departure and the staff mailed it to our next hotel in Rome! We got it just in time and are ETERNALLY grateful! There is also a sufficient number of sun beds around the pool and in the surrounding area. The location is close to a main road but not so close that noise is a problem. It is better to have a car for morning grocery. The closest shops are ca. 2 km. away in Laiatico. In principle one can walk there but I don't think it's a nice walk. The location is perfect at walking distance from restaurants and bars in Lajatico. Breakfast was as you would expect for a hotel this size.
