They offer a delightful selection of local meals paired with excellent local wines. The garden is also a nice touch. Sleek, modern building, tastefully decorated, manned by charming and helpful staff, in a great neighborhood, marred somewhat, in my opinion, by lack of facilities such as bar, in stocked minibar, paltry provision of toiletries, and very irritating shower that could not be contained despite constant effort, and dumped water on the bathroom floor during each use.

Perfect place to break up the long drive south. The hotel was pet friendly and there is plenty of parking space. I had a very comfortable stay. There is also a very good seafood restaurant on the premises.

Parma is a charming city with wonderful things to see, including the Duomo (Cathedral), Baptistry, Teatro Regio, and the Pilotta and Toscanini Museums.
The food is excellent, with many opportunities to sample the famous parma ham and parmigiano reggiano cheese, both of which originate from the area,
There are great restaurants and cafes/bars, and many pedestrianised areas.

This busy town has a great deal to offer.
This busy town has a great deal to offer. The Palazzo de la Pilotta is a must see. It contains an archaeological museum, a fabulous art gallery with a stunningly beautiful Leonardo da Vinci, a huge, mind-boggling wood theatre built inside an enormous hall, and an ancient library. The Baptistery, the Cathedral and the Sanctuario de Santa Maria Della Steccata are well worth visiting not just for their architectural beauty but for their stunning frescoes. And be sure to walk through the lovely ducal park.

Parma is a wonderful city and I would absolutely go back! It is like a slice of Florence with amazing food and historic sites, but without the long lines and crowds. There are tons of restaurants to choose from and it is an easy trip to Modena and Maranello to see the Ferrari museums.

Nice city and the area we lived in seemed safe.
Nice city and the area we lived in seemed safe. Just next door we had a Big supermarket. The inner city ( historical area) is quit small but we used most of our time just strolling around in the Streets looking at People and Daily Life. There is a beautiful park for some Nice walks. We had 4 nights (arriving late afternoon and departure in morning) and it was enough. Prices are about half of the ones in Bologna, so if that’s important to you, stay in Parma.

I think Parma is an underrated gem, we really wished we could have stayed longer and explored the wonderful history of the city in more depth.
We'd had some fantastic food there too.
Would definitely consider a return, maybe for the Verdi Festival as it would have been great to see an opera there.

Parma is a very friendly city, and we felt extremely safe at all times. It is very low on traffic considering it is a city, just be aware of the many cyclists who seem to share both the pavements and the roads.
There seems to be little beyond Parma ham and Parmesan cheese but you can find eateries that cater for non meat eaters.
Price wise, it’s below average for a city but not as cheap as some, we found Bologna lower priced for cafe food.
We did a half day walking food tour which we thoroughly recommend.

It’s a perfect overnight stop en route to or from S.Italy, if you want to stop off near the motorway. The room we had was spacious, exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable. Lovely white, crisp cotton sheets & towels. Great shower & bathroom fixtures. There’s a selection of excellent restaurants nearby, ample parking and areas to exercise your dog. Friendly staff. A good breakfast served from 6.30am.
It's a very cozy hotel in the city center of Parma. Rooms are very small (at least mine was supersmall), but clean and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The bathroom was even fitted with a bidet. The staff was helpful but generally invisible - just how I expected it. Breakfasts were quite basic, but can't complain. Generally speaking - it's a great hotel for a short stay. Recommend it!
Amazing people working at the reception , a fine young man and a lady with short hair working with him. They were the nicest people we met in Italy , made us feel very welcome and were friendly, not stern and cold like most staff in hotels, give them a raise !
The hotel is ideally located with most tourist attractions in walking distance. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated. Big bathroom. The breakfast was good - more on the Italian side with a lot of sweets but - hey, we're in Italy!!!
Well situated in a quiet street within a walking distance from the city center. Very comfortable, bright and clean room with good aircondition. Beautiful garden and welcoming host. Our favourite place to stay in Italy ❤️
