The location is in an actual medieval town, with a castle, ornate stone work, and cobble stone streets. Beer houses, wine bars, and restaurants are dotted throughout the town. I was by myself and I asked one of the locals if I was heading in the right direction for a restaurant. He spoke very little English, my Italian is rusty, but he walked me all the way there we had rousing conversation using hand gestures and Google Translate.

We ate a couple who found this property extremely functional and a home from home. From the moment we walked into this apartment it felt like home . Tanja was also very warm, and showed us around the apartment which was the best equipped apartment we had the pleasure of staying in within our time in Abruzzo!
Location to town was just as noted !!

Roads around Penne can be hilly, having a car can be useful.
Roads around Penne can be hilly, having a car can be useful. I had friends staying in the town so that was helpful. If you are young and energetic you can see more of the town in less time than I did. Panoramic views are beautiful; regret I cannot remember names of restaurants, I have been to some outside the town too. One can take bus to Pescara beautiful beaches with all facilities and several restaurants. I would personally avoid the heat of July/August in future.

Penne is a really cute bustling town with many interesting areas to walk and explore the historic town, shops and parks. The town is progressive with QR codes for many of the historic sites. The winding ride up to Penne can be fun for the driver but not so much for passengers.
It appears to be a hub for the region and can feel a little too busy at times with cars along the main highway dividing the historic town from the rest of the town.
I will definitely return to Penne to explore it further.

The location was very central to the center of Penne. The breakfast was OK, fruit, yogurt, coffee, and several kinds of cookies and cake. The added value of this residence is that you have access to kitchen facilities 24/7, which is undoubtedly an added value. Especially if you are leaving early in the morning, you can use the kitchen facilities to prepare a coffee, soft drink and something small to eat before a long journey The bathroom/shower was clean and big
Our stay was faultless. Claudia and Andrea are exceptionally welcoming and cannot do enough for you. Our double bedroom was immaculate and super comfy. The views are immense. The swimming pool is brilliant. The passion for local food and drink are clear and it is the icing on the cake! By car, Penne and Pescara are within easy driving distance. We hope very much to return. Squisito!
The B&B is located in Penne’s small streets, giving you the real feeling of being immersed in an Italian village. All the details are extremely curated, the room is comfortable and you have access to different spaces including the most wonderful terrace. The host is very sweet and helpful. Very very very recommended!
