It was perfectly situated, on a slight hill, with great views, and close to the beach. The staff were very helpful and kind, especially John at the front desk, and Claudio & Tanya, in the restaurant & beach bar!

Everything about this place is wonderful!! The host is friendly and super helpful. The place is spotless and in a great location. It's walkable to the train station (I came by train and didn't have a car) and less than a city block from a large grocery store/mini mall. When I come to Scalea next I will definitely try to stay here. Be aware that although there IS breakfast, it is a very typical Italian breakfast. Cappuccino, juice, pastry and yogurt. Not eggs and other protein. Great place!
Providing quiet street views, B&B Civico 64 Scalea in Scalea provides accommodations and a bar. Both free Wifi and parking on-site are available at the bed and breakfast free of charge.

Spotlessly clean- the shower was huge and appeared brand new! Effective air conditioning. Both of our rooms had their own balconies with clothes lines to hang swimming suits, and a lovely place to drink tea or granite! You do need to climb about 3 flights of stairs to get up there, but the stairs are bright, clean, and wide.
The location is AMAZING! Everything is walkable- Old Town, the beach, restaurants, the train station (10-minute walk), a sweet bakery, gelato, and even an easy-to-use laundromat (a 2-minute walk).
Our host met us at the door, explained everything, and gave us breakfast vouchers for the bakery downstairs. She is a wonderful person, kind and hospitable. She helped us with all of our questions and needs. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Having only just sold my apartment in Scalea after 20 wonderful years, I cannot praise Scalea enough. Unfortunately Old Father Time is catching up with me and caused the sale. Scalea is a great town in Calabria with the sea, mountains , shopping centre , several supermarkets, and loads of good restaurants in Scalea itself and the surrounding area. I have found the locals friendly and helpful.

Scale is very nice small town 2 hours from Naples.
Scale is very nice small town 2 hours from Naples. Recommend visiting up to July and from September. In August a lot of Italians come there to spend their holiday and town of 10 000 becomes a town of 150 000. Great beaches, a lot of sightseeing and nearby location to visit. Very friendly people. 178 km by car from Naples. Trains however go almost every hour. If you fancy an original Sicilian food from fresh seafood and do not mind paying a little bit extra go to Ristorante Insieme.

Scalea is a historic town, so besides the beach and the sun you can also discover its historical charm. The town is rugged. Don't be afraid of gentle hills ( almost all towns in Italy are like this).

Lovely beach town with good restaurants. la Piazzaetta is a favorite of the locals who entertained us on open-mike night. Antica Trattoria a Taverna is a long walk uphill to the old town. We had half liter of vino bianco locale with the shared special antipasti served with bread which was very filling. The pasta dishes that followed were delicious but we should have shared that too. Best not to visit Scalea in July or August when it is very crowded. We visited in mid-September and had a very nice time.

Scalea is a warm and friendly town.
Scalea is a warm and friendly town. The restaurants are abundant and serve outstanding Calabrian cuisine. The beaches are some of the most beautiful in the world. If you are traveling with a young family, there is much to do...not to mention how safe Scalea feels.

Loved our accommodation, especially the views and proximity to Scalea. There is everything you need in Scalea and it is only a very short drive from the accommodation. Great restaurants, beaches and centre storico.

The room is located in the historic center and has a balcony with a panoramic view of Scalea, the sunset was so beautiful. The room has air conditioner, a little fridge with bottled water and juices prepared by the host. The host is very nice and easy to communicate with. There is a restaurant just 3 min away.
Our host Biagio was amazing, gave us a perfect welcome and recommendations for our stay. (fantastic agriturismo for dinne!r)The hotel is very comfortable and clean and convenient for both the beach and National Park. Great breakfast and coffee provided. We wished we could stay longer but will be back!
