Sitting outside with a coffee in the morning watching the world go to work! Also the staff always happy to help. The village peaple did not leave you thinking they just wanted your money they had time for you. The pizza bar over the road made the best pizzas going and food was fantastic.

Everything was perfect. The location and views are stunning. Unspoilt authentic Italy. Spotlessly clean boutique hotel with a fabulous breakfast, restaurant and really friendly staff who make you welcome. Would highly recommend to anyone. The trains and buses are really easy to navigate (bus driver was waiting outside the airport and directed us on how to use tickets) and the Trenitalia app for the trains is a breeze to use. Wished we had longer in Calabria as would have opted to travel further up the coast. Will definitely return to the area.
A 10-minute walk from the sea and 800 metres from the railway station, Hotel Scilla is set in Scilla’s centre. It offers free parking and free Wi-Fi.

Wecoming staff who spoke English. Pleasant comfortable room with balcony. Good breakfast included. Convenient walking distance to town center. We had no problem finding free parking close to the hotel, but it was low season. They have limited underground parking for 10 euros a day. We stayed an extra day.
Il Porticciolo offers accommodation in Scilla. Every room comes with a TV. All rooms have a private bathroom with a bath or shower and bidet, with free toiletries provided.

Our stay at BB La Veduta was nothing short of magical, thanks to Antonio and his incredible family. This charming, family-run boutique hotel has only three rooms, which makes the experience all the more personal and special. Antonio’s father took care of shopping for breakfast supplies, his mother ensured everything was pristine, and Antonio himself was there for every other need—offering recommendations, sharing stories, and always greeting us with a smile.
The cleanliness was truly exceptional. Each day, we returned to a room that felt fresh and spotless, thanks to Antonio’s mother’s meticulous care. She showed the same attention to detail you’d expect in her own home, and the room always smelled wonderfully clean. We woke up and went to sleep every day in a beautifully kept space.
The hotel is a traditional Italian gem, and every element felt luxurious—from the soft, high-quality towels and bed linens to the tastefully chosen furniture. The bathroom products and decor were just top-notch, and every detail contributed to a sense of true comfort and quality.
Breakfast was beyond our expectations. Each morning, we enjoyed a spread of fresh, locally sourced cheeses (picked up daily by Antonio’s father) and an array of delicious homemade cakes and pastries lovingly baked by his mother. Everything was fresh, authentic, and bursting with flavor. We were also spoiled with unlimited Italian coffee that was simply perfect.
Our room, with a balcony overlooking the sea, was an absolute dream. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean each day was so peaceful, and it made our stay feel even more like a true escape.
Antonio’s hospitality and generosity were unmatched. He went above and beyond, sharing the best local spots to eat and explore, and all his recommendations were spot-on. We truly felt welcomed as part of the family, not just as guests. We’ll miss our morning chats and the warmth of their hospitality immensely.

Scilla was a nice small seaside town away from the hustle and bustle of a city. I visited in April, which is off season and the weather was perfect. The nighttime temps were cool and refreshing and the daytime was nice and pleasantly warm. The water was too cold to swim in, but I did wade along the shore a bit. The town was quaint and inviting and everyone I spoke with was kind.

Lovely town.
Lovely town. Many of the beach/Chianalea tourist-targeted businesses close in the autumn but there are still plenty of places to eat and the weather is perfect (25-27C and sunny when we were there mid-October) for exploring the region. There's a train station to take you south to Reggio Calabria or north to the pretty town of Tropea (recommended!).

The views across Scilla as well as the sea views and bay views are all very beautiful. Scilla is on a hillside so expect lots of paths and steps as you explore Scilla. The lift near Bar Roxy on the beach takes you right up to the piazza and a cappuccino, or a pizza from Pizza Scilla. There are places to eat along the beach and in Scilla.
Do try the local swordfish panini! Delicious.

Lovely personal BnB right on the water edge. Large balcony over the sea with a wonderful view of the sea and Scilla. The main beach is wonderful for swimming in the clear turquoise water. It is a small relaxed town.

Close proximity to Train Station, walking distance to the Beach, Local Cafes and Restaurants along the waterfront and across from the main beach.
Walking distance to the Old town Centre either take a lift up or walk up the stairs for some paronamic views you won't be disappointed.
It is only a small coastal town with a few restaurants and Cafes to choose from

The view was spectacular.
The view was spectacular.
There was direct access to the rocks at the waterfront but no way to get in or out of the water safely. The property is advertised as The entire holiday home’ but this is false. The property has at least three apartments. We had to walk past our neighbour’s glass patio doors to access our apartment and the narrow balcony was shared.

Wonderful family run business! The couple who owns this property are so kind and attentive.
Great location with stunning views of the portside.
Our room was cleaned everyday and breakfast on the terrace was very enjoyable. We was served croissants and a different cake everyday then yoghurts and cereal was on offer for you to have as you please.
Would recommend this property for anyone stopping in Scilla.
Il Casato is an incredibly beautiful b & b in the middle of the beautiful village of Scilla. The rooms are stunning and spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Definitely opt for a sea view if you can. We ate in the restaurant both nights as the food was incredible as were the views. We really hope to come back
Location, Massimo's (Host) kindness and help, common parts of the property, especially the terrace with the best view in Scilla. Apartments are near to everything.
Super cute, helpful staff! Clean facilities. The breakfast with fantastic home made pies and home made jams. The stay was very good experience in Scilla
