For a group of 4 adults we had to book 4x single rooms which was awesome. The cost was minimal, the location fabulous with a fantastic supermarket virtually next door. Takefu was a breath of fresh air after bust Kyoto. Great overnight stop.

The guesthouse was spacious and fully equipped, and the bedrooms were laid out beautifully. The property was very close to several excellent restaurants (and a fantastic French patisserie down the back streets), and well situated to explore the local artisan villages. Our host was extremely friendly and very helpful - pointing out the local sites and organising taxis for us.
… and we loved the Kotobuki restaurant!… ( recommended by our host)-great food and a wonderful friendly family!
