I loved the location and being a ski in/ski out hotel. Also a short walk to many restaurants. No complaints at all and I’d stay there again.

The hotel is very new - it does not even appear yet on some Google Maps renditions and address searches. The facility is top notch in terms of the quality of the overall finishing, cleanliness and proximity to the ski slopes. The access to the ski resorts is excellent: there is a ski equipment locker room where one can store ski equipment, get changed for snow sports and access the slopes directly from there (and it can be reached again easily by skiing in from the slopes). The hotel has good overall facilities. There are two good restaurants at the hotel (Italian and Japanese - Sukiyaki/Shabu Shabu).

Kutchan town is not the ski resort.
Kutchan town is not the ski resort. You have to take a 15-30 mins bus or taxi to nearby Hirafu, Hanazono, Niseko Village or Annupuri resort, which makes up the "Niseko United" ski resort.
However, the town is a gateway. A few restaurants is around but they are a bit spread out. There's 2 tasty BBQ restaurant 10 minutes walk away.
The Kutchan train station is the gateway to/from Otaru and Sapporo. However, the train is a drag. An 1+ hour plus to Otaru and total 2 hours to Sapporo. Same for bus.
Public transportation is lacking at night time. Check schedule or prebook taxi is recommended during night hours.

Kutchan is a lovely city with friendly locals and widespread English proficiency, making communication easy. There are plenty of options for renting or purchasing snowboard gear, which is convenient for enthusiasts. Overall, I will definitely return to Kutchan.

The hotel was spotlessly clean, amazing cleaning staff. Great buffet breakfast, though pretty much identical every day. Great location next to Max Value (supermarket) and Daiso. Appreciated the in-room humidifier. Wonderful shuttle to and from the mountain. This is one of the few remaining affordable accommodation options in Niseko. Having first come in 2005, every trip I end up staying further and further out. However, as Niseko has westernised over the years, I much prefer the charm and real Japaneseness of Kutchan.
We stayed here to hike Mt. Yotei. The owner was very friendly and helpful. He dropped us off at the trail head at 0500 so we could start the walk early.
The whole place was very clean, and the communal kitchen was spacious and well-stocked.
It was a short walk to the train station and shops.
If you're in Kutchan stay here. You won't regret it.
Very good location, new hotel, and super friendly staff. Comfortable environment for ski storage.
However, the restaurant is disappointing. The quality is poor for such high prices. If dishes cost more than 2,000 yen, please improve the cooking quality.
Very kind and helpful staff. The hotel is in walking distance from the train station and there is a convenience store right next to it. The room was quite big for Japanese standards and everything was well cleaned.
Convenience! Ski-in, ski-out resort with seamless one-stop service (rental and return of ski equipment, airport transfers) all arranged via hotel concierge.
