There were only 6 buses a day into town which was over an hour walk away.
The local restaurants seem to close at 6pm leaving the hotel the only option with an expensive large set menu at night. We walked into town and eventually found some options as we wanted a small meal.
We went to the hotel bar on our return at 9.30 to find it was closed. A shame as the hotel had given us vouchers for use there.

It was very nice that the hotel had free parking on-site. This is important as most tourists rent a car when they visit Ishigaki. The location is also great. Just a 10 minute walk from the center (even less depending on where you are heading to in the center). I should note here that during the night, when one comes back from the city center, the street in the last block is a bit dark and not well lit, but overall I did not feel insecure.
Furthermore, I should add that the breakfast was very decent and with good quality coffee too.
And last but not least, they do provide beach towels, which was very convenient, when you go to a beach most of your days there!

The staff is very present and attentive, the location is very convenient by foot from the shopping streets, ferry and bus terminal. very spacious bed.We enjoyed the walks in the park after the bridge, where you can enjoy the view of the ocean and the sunset . The hotel has many free services with the coffee machine, tea bar, fresh or sparkling water and bar. As well as the washing machine available for free, shoes dryer in case of rain was great . The reward system in the form of vouchers to spend at certain local merchants set up to avoid energy waste is a very good thing which we also adhered to and appreciated.Thank you for this pleasant stay.
