A very good value and nice people. The environment was very nice and the hotel was well staffed with lots of treats and 2 restaurant options. Would have like to have know there was an option for a nice restaurant that required reservations upon our arrival. The restaurant we ate at was nice with a wide variety of options and the cook was very good and quick.

The room was very comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. The café downstairs was amazing, with great coffee and the most delicious carrot cake. The host was incredibly helpful and shared plenty of great recommendations for nearby activities and restaurants.

Beautiful location in Koyasan. The rooms were modern but classic, the grounds lovely and peaceful. Perfect location for walking to the temples and shrines in the World Heritage Site.

Highly recommended! Nori is an amazing host, super friendly and always willing to offer help (even if you don't ask for it). The place is super cozy and well equipped. I'd definitely choose hachihachi again without hesitation :)

No frills, but clean, comfortable and a nice atmosphere to connect with other travelers. The owner was super helpful and continued to communicate with me even after we had left to make sure we had made all our connections. We upgraded to a private room, but the capsules seemed pretty good. The capsules/compartments seemed to be about 4X4X8 (feet) It might be bigger, but it was enough room to sleep and store your things. Perfect for our one night stay

The owner was very helpful to review my stay schedule during the whole hiking of Kumano Kodo, Kohechi trail. He helped me to add one night stay so that we didn't skip one stage and walked safely. I truly appreciate his help and support.
