The owners are so lovely, it was a really nice experience. I had just finished a 3 day hike and was exhausted so the mum made me a delicious Bento box for dinner.
The living space is very spacious and light, it felt very relaxing in there. The communal kitchen and bathroom area is also very spacious and has everything you would need.

The Japanese beds are getting worn, the hotel could use an upgrade. I've visited newer Grand Mercure resorts and you can tell the difference. Also, there was a tea kettle in the room but no tea bags provided in the room. Why provide a kettle if you're not going to provide tea or coffee? Tattoos are not permitted in the onesen. This might be helpful knowledge for some people to have before booking.

A traditional feeling Ryokan, not too expensive, very attentive owners.
The view from the room was beautiful and so relaxing after walking all around Yoshino.
The onsen was fantastic, especially the side with the working outdoor tub.
The meals were very special, with dietary needs accommodated when expressed.
