The room was nicely arranged, making good use of the space available. The beds were big and comfortable and the shower was powerful. We arrived as the last staff member was leaving and he kindly took the time to check our documents, show us to the room and answer our questions.

Everything was exceptional. The attention to detail in the room, service from staff, preparation, presentation and serving of food. Even though it was winter we sat outside next to the firepit after dinner and it was very comfortable. The beds were very comfortable, the private onsen with view out to the woodland beyond was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The room was spacious and perfectly equipped with everything you might need. Ryokan Roka has managed to combine current cuisine with the type of service that hasn’t been seen in many fine dining restaurants around the world in years. Congratulations.

Such a nice hotel and such friendly staff. Really helpful in getting you around the island. The room is very nice, spacious and comfortable, and there's plenty options at breakfast.
The location is a bit further away from the action on the island, but if you rent a bike (which is the best way to see and experience Naoshima if you ask me!) that should be no problem.

Loved everything about this guesthouse. My room was warm and smelled nice! The owner made sure I was comfortable and had anything I needed. They have a restaurant as well and he made me a gluten free lunch and dinner that were delicious. Couldn’t recommend more!
