We live in the country near Daejeon, so it was nice to spend the night in a big city. Korean food is very basic and cheap, there is not one restaurant that serves wine with their food in Geumsan where we live. Korean people are only interested in eating Korean food, so finding an international style restaurant in Korea is very difficult. So if you want to enjoy a Western-style meal, you have to cook it yourself at home. Luckily we were able to enjoy some Western-style restaurants during our stay.

I loved Daejeon even though I know it is not the favourite of Korean people. The food, the facilities, cleanliness, nature in the Hanbat Arboretum, visit to famous bakery Sang SimDang, even Daiso nearby, made for a lovely weekend trip. Even walking along the public Yuseong-gu clay paths was a neat experience. Of course Mega Coffee and Emart in Seo-gu was not to be missed! I picked up a very yummy mango-coconut snack!

Greatly enjoyed a short stay in Daejeon.
Greatly enjoyed a short stay in Daejeon. Explored the market west of the train station. Wandered the streets to the east of the station, with quirky cafes and at least one phenomenal Thai restaurant. Spent one night at the lovely Hotel Interciti, across from and overlooking, the Yuseon Foot Baths. Could easily have spent another 2-3 nights here, and wished I could have visited the art museum.

Daejeon was a very nice city and a person could do a lot of great shopping there if that’s their interest. I went to the Yousong Spa and had a great experience. There are quite a few sites just beyond the outskirts of the city too. The bus system was very easy to navigate as well. Mine was a January/winter trip so I didn’t get to see all the city has to offer. It is worth a return trip though.

The location was great, close to the subway line and bus stop. Response from the host was efficient and precise. Great value for money.
It's similar to a small one room, or large goshiwon - got all the amenities you need and would be a great option if you were spending a few days in Daejeon.
The hotel had the best designed room we have stayed at. The room is a good size. The bed is exceptionally comfortable and the bathroom has a proper size bath.
Visited second time after 2018.
Standard residence hotel, small kitchenette included.
Clean and spacious.
Recommended for a longer stay with limited budget.
