We had an incredible one night stay at Green Garden Homestay. Nillu (the guest) was super friendly, cooked delicious food for dinner and breakfast and we had a great conversation with her and her son. She also helped us arrange the safari to Huluro Eco Park, where we could see lots of wild elephants. We fell in love with her dog Elly, she was so cute and barked at the monkeys that tried to get close to the house! We would repeat for sure and recommend to our friends visiting Sri Lanka

The owner was very nice to me. He offered me free drining water and arranged it himself. Two times I got lost, I couldn't find my way to the guest house, since it's a bit further inside from the main road. He was very kind to come and pick me with his motorcycle. The room and toilet was newly built and clean. AC was working perfectly fine, although during night I didn't need it. The bed was comfortable and huge. He also provided me with cutleries when I needed. There's public transport available to Pollonaruwa 10 minutes walking distance from the place. Getting a Tuktuk might be a bit challenging.

The host, Mina, is exceptionally kind. She wants all her guests to be happy, comfortable and 'well feed'!!! Her cooking is also exceptional. The accommodation is simple, in a good way. A very pleasant stay. Great view over the lake. Excellent food at the restaurant. Very affordable prices, compared to other places. Helpful, friendly staff. 15 minutes by vehicle from the historic old city. Internet was a bit unstable at times. We suugest you request a room with a good view of the lake.

All the staff were incredibly helpful. Lovely family run place. Nice rooms and pool and luxurious seating area. Ate there second night and food excellent. They organised bike hire and sorted onward van to Trinco. Good value too. I highly recommend this excellent place.

The room was spacious, the hotel was close to Polonnaruwa for a day trip, and the evening meal at the restaurant was tasty.
