SWP Eco Lodge is a very well run hotel in an ideal location for walking into town and to the Tooth Relic Temple. The accommodation is clean and well maintained with lovely showers and bathrooms and good view of the lake. The rooms are large and tastefully decorated. The food served in the restaurant, especially during the evening is fantastic. We enjoyed one of the best curries we had during our time in Sri Lanka here. The complimentary lift to the station is also helpful.

The location was a short thought uphill walk from the centre. There was also a shortcut which the hotel manager was kind enough to let us know.
The facilities were average. The bathroom of the room we stayed in could use a little more work. Addition of wall mounted organiser for keeping shower essentials would help.
Over all the staff was good good property for short stay

The hotel is as beautiful as on the pictures. A paradise away from the loud streets of Kandy. The garden is beautiful, the pool is enormous, everything is meticulously maintained and clean. I got a very spacious room overlooking the river, tastefully decorated. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast and dinner buffets were incredible. I enjoyed every minute of my stay.

Pretty and clean city. Convenient location for day trips, but if you want to just stay here and chill, you won't be bored. The lake is beautiful, can just sit and relax by it. The museum is nice, lots of shopping options too.

I loved the cool environment mostly.
I loved the cool environment mostly. Was in the hot sun in Colombo, but Kandy was just the opposite. Unfortunately, the town becomes congested too much, too often. The present situ. in the country sometimes make SOME people a bit nasty, & I find that we should make ourselves more familiar with Kandy city before we go there.

Certainly a little cooler and very picturesque , couldn’t visit the tea plantations but the tea factory tour was very good.
I felt that the entry fee to the elephant orphanage was a little expensive especially for tourists from overseas
The Petta street market was just too busy so could not walk around, it looked like all the cheap import from China was on sale

The hotel is beautifully situated on the hillside of Kandy with a marvellous view. Our room was very large, very clean and with the perfect view of Kandy. The staff are very friendly. Kogul in particular helped us with all our questions and organised the transport and an unforgettable Kandy day tour for us. He is a born host.
The breakfast is highly recommended and we also had an excellent dinner. The best Hotel we had on our Sri Lanka round trip.
Many Thanks to the staff of "The Summit" to make our stay in Kandy so special.
The house is decorated with its traditional concept of Sri Lankan. You get the experience how would a local Sri Lankan house will be. They have 2 in house pet(dog) and they are friendly. Rooms are clean and spacious as well. Location just located right at heart of Kandy city. Walking distance to Golden temple and around the area. The owner lady and son is very approachable and try their best to accommodate our request. And not forgetting their Sr Lankan breakfast . Very satisfying stay.
The hotel is in a great location, only a short walk up a hill overlooking Kandy. It provides a really nice combination of feeling at one with nature but also being accessible. The open air design of the hotel is wonderful. The rooms we had were modern and comfortable with good hot water (not always a given in Sri Lanka). The staff were welcoming and helpful. It's nice to have the choice of the main restaurant or the rooftop bar, but they do both serve the same menu.
The best hotel we stayed at during our time in Sri Lanka! Amazing views across Kandy lake and the staff are all lovely, going above and beyond expectations.
We would especially like to mention one of the managers Asanka who went out of his way to ensure our stay was nothing but spectacular.
Would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re staying Kandy, you’ll not be disappointed.
Best stay in our whole Sri Lanka trip.. we loved it so much that we came back to Kandy just to get to see Yama (the hotel manager) and enjoy the amazing hostel vibe :)
