We stayed in Birds Paradise Hotel for three nights and birding around Sinharaja. The staff are very friendly and always helpful to our needs. And I was satisfied with the breakfast and dinners in the hotel which comforted me whenever I needed. Highly recommend!

Idyllic place in the middle of nature. Well decorated and maintained. Kind, but not to invasive personnel. Highly recommended to visit Sinharaja forest reserve, but you can easily also spend a day or two only to chill in the hotel.

After a hike through the rainforest with Sunil we were welcomed into his house by the family and Sunil’s wife presented us with a fabulous meal . Similarly , the following morning , after a very early start we hiked in the forest and saw most of the birds we had wanted to see . Sunil is an excellent guide - enthusiastic and very knowledgeable . We were then treated to a great breakfast at Sunil’s house .

The mountain setting is absolutely stunning, you’re surrounded by clouds, trees and tea plantations. The villa is spacious and comfortable, great bathroom and has all facilities needed. The pool was an amazing bonus and the grounds are pretty to walk around and chill out in. The manager was in constant touch via WhatsApp and very friendly and helpful in organising food and drinks, transport and a rainforest tour for very reasonable rates. It was such a relaxing and special stay.

Excellent location, very close to the Sinharaja Forest Reserve. Friendly family owners. The cabins are well-designed and comfortable, especially given the reasonable pricing and the remote setting. The food was good. We stayed for just one night and booked a private guided tour to Sinharaja, which was a great experience.

Spectacular scenary, beautiful houses, friendly family taking care of it all, perfect guidance to the Rainforest, delicious food. Saman told us not only the name of the very many animals we saw but also explained us interesting things about them. He knows so much!!! He provided us with special "socks" and salt to protect us from leeches and when back in the hotel, he washed our boots himself before we realised it. So wonderful caring people! My man had problem in his back and he tool extra time so that he could do the tour without risks and didn't charge any more for the extra time. His wife Umesha cooked many different currys every evening to eat with rice. And breakfast was also delicious and different every day so that we could taste local specialities. We can absolutely recommend it!! Right now I am sitting in the terrace while watching a varan, peacoks, a fisher king and hearing the the sounds of nature. Heaven.
