We had a brilliant time here, the location is amazing and you are able to walk straight onto the beach after your excellent breakfast. It was lovely to have use of the pool and to be able to make tea and coffee! Thomas and Yasindu are wonderful, we want to thank them very much for being so kind and helpful, they have really looked out for us and made us feel so welcome. Thank you!

Garden Villa Talalla is a beautiful little hotel close to a nice section of the beach of Talalla. Gaby and her team are very welcoming and made our stay most enjoyable. We loved the breakfast served in the patio adjacent to the pool. Highly recommend to stay at Garden Villa.

Immerse yourself in nature on the shores of beautiful Southern Sri Lanka. Talalla Retreat is a beachfront resort located on a pristine, white sandy beach.

Right next to the beach, we arrived and saw turtles hatching and then released into the ocean. Staff were lovely, beautiful hotel and surroundings. The shower was amazing.

Located in Talalla, within 300 metres of Talalla Beach and 1 km of Gandara Beach, Bunty Villa Talalla provides accommodation with a private beach area and free WiFi as well as free private parking for...

You will be staying in newly opened accommodation in the heart of Talalla, just a 5-minute walk from the wide sandy beach and the beautiful bay. Bunty and his family will welcome you with an open heart and do whatever they can for you. Don't forget to ask for a home cooked dinner from Bunty's wife, it tastes heavenly (you might not want anything else afterwards)...if in season, ask for butterfish...sooo yammy. The rooms are in a quiet neighbourhood, your breakfast is served outside on the veranda with fresh fruit, tea, coffee, toast, jam, eggs (as you like them). If you're looking for a comfortable mattress, a large bed with mosquito net, a room with AC and fan and your own spacious bathroom and you like being at home with friends, this is the place for you!

Thank you so much to Kawindi, Suranga and family for hosting me at Mango House! I had a fantastic time staying there, they were so welcoming and kind and very accommodating making me lovely breakfast early before work. One night I ate dinner at the guesthouse and it was the most delicious food I have eaten so far in Sri Lanka! Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality and wishing you all the best.

Talalla Beach Bungalows in Talalla South has a garden and direct beach access. This bungalow features free WiFi and on-site dining.

Talalla beach is a hidden gem. It's a secluded beach with only a handful of beachfront properties, which means Talalla Beach bungalows is a rare find. Our room was a stones throw from the beach. It was large with a good fan, a large bathroom with warm water (not that you need it!). The restaurant served delicious food and the complementary breakfast made it excellent value. Madu was a friendly, super helpful host. The two dogs are really well looked after which really added to our enjoyment of the place. Would 100% recommend.

Talalla beach is clean and not crowded like many on the South coast of Sri Lanka. Relax all day under the sun and take a dip in to the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Not really a surfing beach but the right hand end in front of Talalla Retreat is safe for swimming. Friendly locals and a small supermarket nearby. Ate at all the local restaurants - they were all excellent, especially Manju Cinnamon Hut.

Lovely quiet beach, great for walks but not good for swimming due to strong undertow. Nice to watch the waves crashing. If you like being away from the touristy area and enjoying the local culture Talalla is perfect. The only down side is there are not many places to eat but we found Old House Restaurant very good. It’s across from the beach and is run by a lovely family with good food and great service.

Perfect place for those seeking quiete beautifull beach and nature, not to crowded by turists and to many hotels. Still there are some great restaurants (with sunbeds). And we watched (and helped) the fishermann with fishing every day (they put a giant nett into the bay and pull it out)..

Talalla is a nice beach area, not close to much. There are tuk tuks available though. Last year the area was very quiet. This year there were two nights with loud music and most nights there are lots of barking dogs in the night.

A wonderful place to connect with nature and enjoy the ocean. Deserted beaches with beautiful sand and calm ocean. There are cozy cafes and restaurants. Buddhist temples are very close. A great place for recovery, family or solo vacation.

    Lovely quiet beach.

Lovely quiet beach. Eat at Tree Tops (worth the climb) and see monkeys during the day and fruit bats in the evening. Funny Banana dies fabulous good too - go for the village breakfast and the grilled prawns!
