Amazing eco friendly hotel. Built on a hillside. We had a family room right at the top with incredible views. The restaurant was below and I could have sat all day just looking at the view. The pool is small but fine for a dip at the end of the day. A sensible WhatsApp system to ask for anything was a great idea. Breakfast was lovely. Staff were friendly and kids have really been thought about with high chairs and a play area. Even in the bathroom there was a little step to reach the sink. We loved that you could refill water bottles in the restaurant. Food was delicious and reasonable compared to the town. Great location, walking distance to main street. Lovely and quiet. Wish we had stayed longer!

We stayed for two nights and were really touched by the kindness and thoughtfulness of the staff. I hadn’t realised there was no air conditioning or mosquito nets until just a few days before our arrival, and since my daughter sometimes has strong reactions to mosquito bites, I was quite concerned. Danuka went out of his way to install a mosquito net before we arrived and reassured us that while there might be mozzies, it wouldn’t be too bad—and he was right! Mornings and evenings were breezy, and we only needed the fan on briefly to fall asleep. My daughter was so happy with the net—it gave her peace of mind and a cozy place to relax. Breakfast was absolutely delicious each morning, and for bird lovers, it’s such a treat to sit out on the balcony and watch all the birds flying about. We even spotted a native grizzled giant squirrel along with the usual ones. Danuka also provided great restaurant recommendations, which made our meals even more enjoyable. His warm, friendly smile made us feel right at home.

We had a comfortable stay. The rooms are simple but comfortable and private. The location is great—just about 100–150 meters from the town center. It’s a bit of an uphill walk, but nothing too challenging.
